I don't have an explanation but whatever M#205 left behind, the cleanser products cleaned it up. Doesn't make sense I know, but that's what I discovered.

It could be paint residue (oxidation), but there are many surface and sub-surface contaminents that may interfere with either the polishing process or the durability of a paint protection product
