Hi i have a silver honda civic i plan on polishing with op then ex-p over that with a coat of collinite number 476s (paste) does this have good durability and will it give me good looks? the pop im after

thanks

Ryan

Well, Collinite 476s is the most durable carnauba wax, period. Should last, at a minimum 6 months on a finish that doesn't see any QD or frequent washings. May slightly dull the finish left by EX-P, but it will last much longer.

i want good durability but i also want looks but im not going to buy anything that Onceaweekwaxer!! i just heard good thing about this product

I just washed a full sized Chevy yesterday that had 476 applied to it 2 months ago. It has been on a 2500 mile trip to Colorado twice. I washed it and it beaded like crazy. After drying, it still had that just-waxed feel to it. I'm very impressed.

Collinite is one of those waxes that there is very little hype about. It performs much better than 99% of the hyped products.

I always wonder about that. It seems like Collinite is liked by a lot of people, and you always read/hear good objective reviews about it, but you're always hesitant to pull the trigger and try it.

Well, IMO it's cheap enough that most people can afford to gamble on a can. Even if it somehow doesn't work out it'd still be great for *something*, not that I can imagine it not working out.

The people who see an major differenece between, say, Zymol Vintage and Souveran probablay aren't gonna be knocked out by how 476S works, but the rest of us will pretty much agree with AlexRuizand Yakky, it looks better than most would expect from a "durability wax". I'd be utterly astounded if somebody said they preferred the look of DC#3 and there's no question the 476S will last ages longer. Gotta admit that it doesn't last as long for me as it does for Bigpoppa3346 though, at least not on something that's outside 24/7. But it'll still get through an Ohio winter just fine.

Just apply the Collinite very thin so it's not a bear to buff off. If it *is* hard to buff off you used way too much. And even then it's not like it'll be some big workout (I've experimented with goofy-thick applications and I honestly don't understand how anybody can say it's that tough to get off).

My thoughts exactly. All of their products work very well and look awesome.

I think i might get a MF bonnet for my pc to buff it off do you think that is a good idea just slip it over one of the foam pads

Im a fairly new user of Collinite, and I'm loving it. As long as you dampen the applicator, you can apply thin layers and removal is easy. Sooooooooo durable.

just use so quick detailer to dampen right??

And how do you pop it out of the can i know stupid question but its got a lip that comes into the can sound i take a knife and cut around the lip looed to hard to get witha putty knife?

if i use a mf applicator i wet it then wring it out good then use it

if i use a pc i use my 4" finishing pad for a polishing pal on a 3.5" backing plate then it fits in the tin

Thanks for the info. Collinite has always been on my wish list. I just haven't done it. Perhaps I'll give it a try this Summer
