My opinion and seems to work for meâ€Â¦forget the rain-x crap, just put a coat of your favorite wax on the windshield. Do all the glass. This would help ice not to bond tightly to the glass. With a towel or glove remove what you can of ice/snow. Then start your car put the heat on and let the ice/snow melt away so you can drive. Note take most of the snow off the rest of your car leaving some on the hood/roof/trunk. The rest will melt away if you go into a parked garage and any sand or dirt will drip of your car leaving it cleaner if you did not. If parked outside in the elements then no sand or dirt will sit on the cars painted surface. Living in new england for years you learnâ€Â¦Sharky
