Hello all,
I just ordered my first Circular polisher,
I have some swirl marks, hairline scratches, and minor abrasions on the roof of my brand new Nissan 350z, silver stone.
I am going to be using 3M compounds and polishers, followed by BlackFire protectants.
I will be using low speeds of 1,000 RPM's and purchased all the needed pads, cotton, wool, foam, etc.
My question: Is this safe for me to do? Can I easily harm my finish? I am following directions from Classic Motoring's website.
I have moderate detailing skills, though I am a power tool rookie, and am a bit nervous.
However, I am 10 times more nervous about letting some highschool kid at the dealership mess with the paint further, using Turtle Wax!
Thanks very much for any insight and advice,
Eric
