Chemical Guys Petes 53 Ivory Paste Wax?

Nope, but I will be buying it. 53% white carnuba :soscared: , and other superior products, this has to be one of the best waxes out there. There's only 3 Zymol waxes that contain more white carnuba by volume.

Maybe I'll pick up both 5050 and Pete's 53 on the same order. I want them both.. :bounce

I am going to try both too.

I would like to find out how hard this is to work with before I buy it. A friend (who is not that reliable) says that it was a pain to take off.

95% of waxes now are soo easy on/off I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe he applied too much, which made it difficult to remove. I haven't come across a hard to remove wax, and I've got more than 10 of them... :chuckle:

If its hard to remove, it can be a sign of good bonding with the paint!! Somebody try this and put us out of our misery!! I want to order some for Int'l shipping!! 53% is a very good content for $37.

Sweepy

Most waxes don't need time to *cure* on the paint. Countless Autopia members have done tests comparing the results from letting wax cure before removing and removing it after only a minute or two, and the end result is nearly the same. Just let the wax dry to a slight haze and then remove it immediately. This makes wax removal MUCH easier, and is a must when using products like Collinite and some older Meguiar's waxes, and might be needed with this product as well.

I'm ordering it at carwashnwax (chemical guys uk). It's a bit more expensive but lower shipping costs and no customs:D .

damn I need someone to try this, lol

Why? I'm sure it's probably a good product, and besides, if it turns out to be horrible for any reason, I wouldn't doubt that Chemical Guys would take care of you. You could be the first person to review it for us!

Zymol Titanium only has 51% Carnauba ( 80%Y, 20%W) and lists for $67...

I will have to try this while on sale!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for posting this!

I had not heard about it and Pete (the person this wax was named after) was a very good friend of mine, and Wax Works has been my supply headquarters for over a year now. I was with him the day he passed (he was at the shop and acting just fine) and when I heard the news I was in shock! Everything they say about Pete on that site is true. He really did have a heart of gold and he was one of the nicest, friendliest, most enthusiastic people you could have ever met.

I will be buying at least two cans, one to keep and one to use. This is really, really cool.

Looks interesting! I would interested to hear how this compares with 50/50. I was planning on getting some 50/50 but if this is better then I might just have to change my mind.

sorry to hear of your loss, count me in for a tin 2

Actually carnuba itself is fairly cheap, it's the blending of other chemicals and a "little Hype" that drive the price up.
