Chemical Guys: "ONE", pics and process.

So I have a sample of CG:"ONE", I love it!!

It is a waterless wash product, with a "wax", or fillers. I noticed that it also has something that settles on the bottom of the bottle when it has been sitting for awhile. I have ben told that it is the same ultra-fine abrasives in clay bars.

I love the fact that it is like a quick detailerX1000, I use ONR on a regular basis, but the slickness, depth and shine that this leaves behind is above and beyond any QD I have used, and well above ONR as well. It is super slick, and appears to "wipe away" swirls, while doing the job of a clay bar as well. I noticed that there was no rough feeling on anything I used this on.

So, here is my test subject for today......the wifes daily. A 2002 Mazda Protege 5, dark charcoal in color, with a HEAVY flake.

So my process was this....

I will get pics of the whole car some time for you guys.

Spray 1-3 sprays per panel

Wipe/spread with small wal-mart microfiber

Lets Haze, buff with Megs gold plush microfiber

Rear hatch glass before..

Another after buffing.....the speckles you see is the out of focus flake in the paint...since I was focusing on the reflection...

THOUGHTS, QUESTIONS????

Unfortunately, I didn't take any halogen befores, so I won't know if there are new swirls, because I will most likely wash, and coat with another CG flavor later this week, or next week..But, it is much like ONR, but much slicker, so I doubt it.

Heres a pic of the label for those that are interested. (I recieved permission to post this pic, even though it is not released yet).

Here is a pic of the "stuff" settled at the bottom.

wow, it would pain me to use something like that for fear of swirling the paint. I'd imagine it would use up alot of towels in the process as well.

I recommend you give ONR a shot, you will love it, no swirls or marring to speak of, then when "ONE" is released, you will realize that waterless washes are indeed safe.

Looks really nice for a waterless wash. It looks like a lot of product was sprayed on to lubricate the wash (I would use the same amount if not more in fear of any marring). The only thing that would stop me from buying a waterless wash is the cost involved. How many vehicles do you think you can do from one gallon? Any ideas of what they'll be charging for it?

I think that's part of the reason why ONR is really popular because one gallon will last a really long time since the product is a concentrate.

Good question, I will have to ask if it can be cut at all. I did about 4 cars (including a Dodge Ram Megacab with 16OZ. And had enough left to do three crotch rockets.

Looking at the directions spray a LITE coat and what you used...drenched...lol...you may get more washes from it...Paul sent me a bottle on my last order...I have yet to try it...I have seen good reviews on other forums also....and none have said about any marring occurring...it is being used in Europe now along with the Jetseal 109...

I spoke with threm just now, and as any product can be cut, it is not recommended as it changes the formulation. Therefore it can't be expected to do the same things as it was meant to.

Bottom line, it is not concentrated, it is mixed ready to use.

LOL, I think you're right, I could have gotten away with one or two spritzes, rather than 3 or 4.

I will try to use much less. But as of right now, my samples of "ONE", and JetSeal are living up to the hype.

Joshtpa....Look at this way...I was told the kaolin clay in it is very fine...like using a very fine clay bar..now this would be a nice product to use monthly to remove any fallout on the paint...sorta a surface maintance product...I don't know any more on the product than what was told to me..but using it like that may be good...we'll have to see when it is released what it actually can do ....

Al

I agree with you...I think that is why I use either P21S paintwork cleanser or TW Ice liquid clay bar just about monthly....So you maybe right.
