Chemical Guys Gallon's Are Not Really Gallons

Or this thread should be closed :lock:

You are complaining about $1.50 worth of product for 8 oz of your Microfiber rejuv. I didnt do the math for the others, but for the great prices Chemical Guys already has compared to other products I don't see why it's even worth it to bring up and spread this crap -- They are fixing the problem so don't get your panties in a bunch.

I know they are fixing the problem and as I said I am glad they are, my only point of posting this is to let other members know they might not have recieved all there product

I like CG and there products do interest me, I still will buy from them but I just wanted to let people know they might be entitled to there fair share

This is not an attack on CG.........lock the post i got my message out.

My job as an informed buyer is done

btw watch your tone J

So over 8 Oz we're still discussing a possible error, that was fixed, over 5 Pages? Jeeze just drop the issue already and move on. It's not like every companies has packaging issues.

....and in the end when all is said and done there is no such thing as bad press. I'm guessing a few more people have looked at CG's site because of this thread.

I see many guys here are missing the point.

Zoran, try reading CG's response again.

The suppliers' bottles were heavier duty but as we later found out were 8 oz smaller in size.

The key word here is "later". We don't know for sure if they realized it before or after they shipped any product, but the thing is they are trying to make thing right and I'll bet good odds they'll make things more than right to anyone who calls. I've never bought anything from them before, but from what I see here I'd be happy to do business with them. I've worked in enough companies to know that sometimes little bugaboos come up, it's inevitable. The worry isn't that it happens on rare occasion, the problem comes up when it's too often or when the company isn't willing to make things right. CG is doing just that, with a bonus for good will.

Lets See He MeAsured Liquid Volume Right,,, Did He Measure Weight ?

Water Has A Set Gallon Weight- Have Him Weigh That And Get Back To Us On It As We All Know Most Things Are Measured By Weight And Not Volume When It Comes To Machine Filling And I Would Bet That They Both Probably Weighted The Same

+1 For Cg Going The X-tra Mile:bigups

CG IS AWESOME....i went to there store in inglewood and mark gave me everything at a discount price plus gave me (3) gallons of free products.....also some free spray bottles.......

for 400 bucks i got 15 different gallons which comes out to 26 bucks average on all of them....and i got the high end products like there M-seal....and many others.....

i like theyre stuff......and i dont care about a lil missing product.....by the way, the CRYSTAL GLAZE looked like it was missing about 10OZ but it was "free" so i didnt trip......

Just be thankful that they help you alot....and most of the times hook you up.....I'm sure some of you can mention things that CG has gave you for free.....RIGHT?

I did, all of them. If you could please do the same you will notice that some things don't stand up in front of logical analysis of chronology of events and possible flow (I don't have time for details right now). That leads to indicator there is a real chance there was a time period during which such stock was shipped out while they were aware of the problem.

One of the simplest indicators that might have been the case is that they seemingly never went on backorder. If you are aware there is an issue you stop filling and you stop shipping. However person in question kept ordering as late as 12/06, they kept shipping as late as 12/06, and 01/07 boom we know there is an issue and we already addressed it.

Next, once they became aware there is an issue what they did to be fair to customers? Did they contact all customers that purchased during period in question products using bottles in question and said "Dear customer, we became aware of the issue and if you received less please let us know and we will correct it"?

From what we know they didn't do that. They sit quiet and will address it only for those that notice it, but for others "thanks for your money for less product". Do you know what consumers would say if food or beverage manufacturer that realizes they shipped less product than claimed on the bottle sits quiet about it?

And even to those that noticed it and complained initial offer was not fair. One doesn't need to wait to order more product before he should get what is righteously his and he already paid for.

So, which part I missed and need to reread? I feel I have read it exactly like it should be read, by not accepting words that don't pass scrutiny of logic and what is right, but by "reading" what they truly mean.

You would think that whoever was filling the jugs - I assume they use a machine that was calibrated - would have spoke up and said, " yo! boss, a gallon don't fit in these jugs."

A gallon fit. They where keeping them lower do to product expansion during shipping. CG ships all over the world. I agree they should of sold those shorted gallons as shorted gallons.

haha if anything this pry caused CG to recieve more business lol

I STILL agree that CG is in the wrong here, but a few things I am wondering about:

1. Why didn't the OP post pictures of the shorted gallon? I would like to see to what level that gallon was filled up to.

2. Has there been any more followup from CG to the OP?
