Changing my business name...

I'm looking into changing my business name. My current name is A.J. Barnes Automotive but I wanted something more catchy, memorable, etc. I came up with a few names but I would like to get your guys opinion, and if you can think of something better. Thanks! :wavey

1. New Age Mobile Detailing

2. Detailz Xtreme

3. Accurate Auto Care

4. Progressive Mobile Detailing

5. Auto Star Mobile Detailing

6. Picture Perfect Mobile Detailing

Whatcha think?? :nixweiss

3. Accurate Auto Care

this sounds the best of the choices you posted. How about "Absolute Auto Care" By AJ Barnes

here's the defintion of "absolute"

2. Complete in itself; perfect; consummate; faultless; as, absolute perfection; absolute beauty. "So absolute she seems, And in herself complete." Milton

1.) Nothing really against it, but I don't like it for some reason. What's new age about it?

2.) Okay if you're targeting 16 year olds driving Civics with crooked baseball caps listening to bad rap and "Linkin' Park". If I had a Mercades, a BMW, or even the cars that I have, you'd never touch my car. Ever.

3.) I like it. Auto care sounds more like mechanics work than detailing though.

4.) Sounds too much like the insurance company. Causes confusion.

5.) It's okay.

6.) I like it.

Just opinions, of course.

:hm Absolute Auto Care sounds interesting.

Feel free to use it , I have thought about it for some time but I already have my company name and when I saw your choices it rung a bell in my head about this name.

When I started out I thought about calling my biz "My Brother's Detailing Shop".

Man on the street: "Wow, your car looks great! Where did ya get it done at?"

Client: "I got it done at My Brothers".

I dunno, I thought it was cool at the time....

I appreciate all the help guys!! This is really starting to heal my headache! :)

So, so far I'm looking at:

1. Picture Perfect Mobile Detailing

2. Absolute Auto Care

3. Finishing Touch Mobile Detailing

Wheew! I am happy to see that you canned the originl option 2. I can't stand when people name their business and they spell the name wrong on purpose... it's just dumb!

I like Picture Perfect Mobile Detailing because it is somewhat catchy, it leaves no confusion as to the service you provide, and who wants a finish that isn't picture perfect?

Absolute Auto Care would be my second choice. I like it as absolute shows perfection but if you just do detailing it might be confusing. However if you haven't had any problems with your current name then Absolute Auto Care would be just fine.

Write them out and think of a logo with both options. One of them will jump out at you.

That name is the one that's actually sticking out the most to me. Next to the fact it is catchy, understandable, and appealing to an array of different types of customer's (young, older, conservative, etc.), it also has a nice flow to it when it's said out loud.

As you can tell by the time of this post, I'm not getting any sleep over this. :rofl

I was playing around with my so far favorite name (Picture Perfect Mobile Detailing), and was thinking about Picture Perfect Custom Detailing. Whatcha think??

I like it. :) I think I kind of like Mobile better than Custom though.

There is an old saying that is Very accurate, "Anyone that asks your opinion is looking for an accomplace" :) So, what was your choice?

I like Picture Perfect Mobile Detailing. Each vehicle is different, so it's always "custom" detailing right?

True.

But, I was thinking "custom" for different reasons though. Someone else has that name already (Picture Perfect Mobile Detailing), but not in my state. I'm not sure if I would want to go that route. I would feel like I'm taking "Superior Shine", or "Ultimate Reflections" from my two good buddies here on Autopia. Also, if it is okay that the other company is in a different state, wouldn't it be a conflict if I were to try and incorporate with that name or no? :nixweiss

Thanks guys again for all the help, this is really helping me out alot!! :xyxthumbs

I don’t know if your a established Pro or a enthusiast with a mission to turn Pro?

If so, A.J. Barnes Detailing / A.J. Detailing could be productive and add a personal touch. . I would assume people know you by that name personally in your community. Don’t get carried away by all the fictitious names because, you and your service will make your name, not the reverse.

I've been running this business for three years and I am looking to change to a fictitious name for all the obvious reasons of having a good business name.

Three years, don’t do it! If you have to, you may do a D.B.A then “slowly work it in.

I originally wrote a longer post explaining how I am big on having a professional image, etc. and why I wanted a fictitious name.

But, as I wrote the post I mentioned using something like "Avy's Mobile Detailing" and how it could look like a small "make some quick bucks and run" type of company. But, the more I thought about it, and as simple as that name is, it actually has a nice ring to it...not to mention it's very short, and it immediately describes what I do, etc.

What do you guys think about that name?

I feel like I owe you guys something with all the help you're giving! That's the reason why I've been a member for three years and counting!!!! :hifive:
