Cat Piss...

yaa, i will charge about $200 for this car and the owner will have no problem paying it because now he can actually drive the car and not feel like hes stuck in a litter box!

Beemer...there is good money in doing odor removal in cars....I think I have a post here from a few years back about doing a car that hit a skunk....I did it for 150.00 and the person did not blink a eye....I used 50.00 in supplies to wash the under carriage and engine compartment...the stink was gone ..most people would not like to drive in a car with a gut wrenching stink that also clings to you ..lol....

Steve should look into having a product like this...

We had Bird Sh#t Remover , now Cat Piss Remover? :rofl

uh oh ..you guys are giving me more ideas

actually the air freshener/deoderizer I sent Mikey should have the properties to kill the order with it's anti-bacterial ingredients ...the only thing it doesn't seem to do as an air freshener is hold it's scent for a long time..odors are gone (and we've tested it in garbage cans with poop in it :wow: ) but it mostly neutralizes and then the scent fades :hmmm: I think the reason is that the scents are water-based vs oil based so they just evaporate.

i just got the stuff now.. smells amazing!! anyway, for use, should i just sprinkle that stuff all over the seats/carpets? and should i leave the windows up so the air freshener can absorb into the rugs, or should i leave the windows down so it can breathe?

actually I would either spray it in first or you can mix it with the carpet cleaning solution and then scrub the carpet so it really soaks in ...leave for a half hour and then vacuum. Then spray it full strength again and leave it alone...let us know what you do and what the results are...one is Leather the other is Cherry..only had a little cherry on hand;)

they both smell great and i truely appreciate the test sample! You can be sure i will be doing more business with you, im a pretty loyal customer! That sounds good, I went down to the shop today to give the car a sniffer test and it failed again :( Tommorrow ill bust out the oxy clean again and be sure to give it a lil mix with the stuff u sent me, and give it a whirl!

just checked the label...it says to use about 1- 4oz per gallon of carpet cleaner.....this sounds like a 4ozer ;)

I concur with you that there is, much like with over-spray

I haven't had that many cars with oder problems other than smokers who want to get rid of the smell

I was reading this thinking "dont use the ammonia!!! Like Al said... pee has the amonia in it and could make the smell worse or set in and never really go away. I had that happen with a horse blanket that a cat got onto and had a pee fest! Ammonia made it worse and my bestfriend got me to use vigegar.. did work, but smelled like vingear. It was in the barn so I did not care.... Go with the folex like beemerboy said... worked for me on meat "juice" that came out of a meat pack that rolled under my passenger seat and sat for 4 days... It STUNK!!! the folex worked like a charm!

Would you believe I stopped in to do a search about cat pee.
I remember a discussion about this in the past.
And what do I see as an active topic?

My husband shut his truck door Thursday night with a stray cat inside.
Fortunately, it was a cool (for Florida in the summer) night and he went outside fairly early the next morning.
It was sitting on a case looking out the window at him.
Thankfully, it could have been a sad situation.

We are at a company function this week-end.
He went ahead to play golf and I took my car later in the day.
When I caught up with him, he said the stray must have peed in the cab during the night.
It didn't smell in the morning, but after a day in the heat...

He hasn't had a chance to do anything about it.
Carpet floors, upholstery, no mats.

He said something about time for a new truck.

Yaa this is not easy... So yesturday I cleaned the entire car with Poorboys APC 10:1 + the deoderizer Poorboys sent me. The piss smell is completely gone, but the car still smells like something else. I think the smell came from using ammonia but im not sure. You can get in the car and drive without a problem, but you will def notice a smell. It's not a bad smell, but its also not a bed of roses ya know? So today im detailing the exterior and I'll it just sit with the windows/doors open for a lil while.

yes combining many chemicals can be dangerous as well as create a weird smell  glad to hear the cat pee smell is gone though :D

Good news.. turns out all the smells are gone... the only thing that smells now is the deoderizer you sent me :D:D:D thanks bigtime!!! Let it be known, Poorboys APC+Deoderizer will take down PISS!!

Glad to hear it worked out....its a hard smell to get rid of.....the real test is a week from now..if its gone then you killed it.....

careful mixing chemicals....stuff like ammonia and If Steves APC has any Butyl products in it as a surfactant...it could result in a breathing irritant for a little while....just leave the windows open for a bit and should be fine....gone after a day or 2 ....

Any ways I hope you got the cat Pee...its a nasty thing....if no smell after a week ..it gone

Al

wow.....from the way described the problem it sounded like you weren't treating all the peee, but sounds like you the products werent working ..... way to remove the pee :)
if you had access to a steam cleaner i may have tried that (but steaming cat pee, would probably through kill you)

Unfortunately I had this happen to my back seat this weekend. Took our cat out of the car and saw 2 wet spots on the seat cushion.

I am a novice and didn't really have the time this weekend, rather be on the beach and didn't really have the right stuff for the job.
Found a guy in the yellow pages and he did it for $40 and he got it all.

I thought it was going to be much worse. Luckily my wife felt very bad about it;)
