Car washing video

But he forgot probably the best secret of all. He should have allowed the hose to run free flow (no nozzle) over the entire car before he tried to dry it. This causes the water to sheet off by itself instead of trying to remove thousands of those water droplets with a towel which will saturate very quickly. When people ask me what do I use to dry my car?

I always say "Water" what else? Then they look at me like I'm messing with them. Those here who have tried this method know exactly what I'm talking about. It is probably the best trick of the trade I ever learned.

Word. I do that after my washes ALL the time.

What happened? You see Mike recommending the Grit Guard, even the name of the guy who invented it, then he says to come to his website and get one. But go there and you find no mention of it, even if you do a search. They DO sell a different type of thing, but it ain't the G.G.

I noticed that as well. There's just some kind of water filter insert for sale. I don't think their online store is ready yet because there isn't anything there. I went to gritguard.com to look. That's the only place I could find the dual dolly system--$120 though!

Do you guys think he used too much soap? Or is that about right for a 5 gallon water mixture?

He had at least 4 gallons in the bucket, plus he did the whole pre-measure thing with the cup, so it's probably right.

lmao at the EcoSheen video, I mean that is definitely not the 'least invasive method', and jezz he dropped that can on the hood, if I did that I would of cry.

WOW that idiot even scrubbed where he didnt spray anything!:shocked i really like when he has to use both hands to scrub. that is quite some elbow grease! I thought i heard the car groan under the pressure:chuckle:

i dont like 2 bucket method... i just use.. one bucket of soap...

and wash off my mitt with flowing water... then ring out and dip in soap.. i dont really belive in grit guards

The funny thing with that guy in the above clip is you can hear the hood bending and popping back out from the pressure he is putting on it.

He was also scrubbing where there was no spray. And that pump action is stupid.

Nice product bud!

hey mike phillips used his "swirl light" at the end of the vid so he can show the crap in the gritguard.

What kind of light was that??
