Car Dealership Detailing In Action!

I can't believe not one of you **** talkers has no prove of your work. this is why my videos are so highly listed on the net. This will not change till one of you experts gets off your *** and shows Google research team how great you are. Till then you boys are nothing more then wax on wax off !

BWAHAHAHAHA. Google research team? Pull your head out of your ***. Videos get ranked by viewers. This one is ranked pretty high:

Is it ranked high because they suck or because its awesome?

.....Say... you mentioned an "HD Camera"... man that sounds AWESOME. Perhaps you can do a full IPA wipedown a few times after you do your magic and post a shot with halogens??? I'd love to get a closeup of how perfect the finish looks. Bonus points for a black car.

I know you won't, but you know why guys like us hate people like you? You think you are the ****. You refuse to open your eyes to anything but your own ***. Wake up, take a look at who the real leaders in the industry are. Its not you.

I will say it again I am the only person on the planet that is able to restore auto trim pieces from overspray damage,

Oh my.... Whatever would we do if you got hit by a bus tomorrow? Never again would any vehicle anywhere be repairable after sustaining overspray damage to its trim!

Jeff Suggs said:
how do you thing they flag videos.

Yeah; THEY flag videos. YouTube's team of employees. Right.

You area real joke you dumb ***** start all this and try to make out like you have giving me too much time. I will look your work over Shiny if there is any.

You're the one who came to the forum and started posting ridiculous insults aimed at an entire group of professionals, including a guy (Ron Ketcham) who has probably forgotten more than you'll ever know about the automotive appearance industry. We are all passionate about our craft here, and it pains us to no end when someone is out there spreading misinformation and perpetrating improper techniques as correct. That is what gives our industry a bad name with the general public.

Not to defend the "work" that all are throwing down on, however there is a total "missing" of why such takes place.

Most here have not a "clue" of how a new car or used car dealership works, what management people are in place, how those who are management are under the "gun" of the daily operating control for each day, how penny's are dollars to these people.

They hire minmum wage employees and pound their butts everyday to "get the iron out the door and on the lot!".

These who are hired are also fired, daily, if they don't meet the "dollar figure per vehicle", if they butt heads with the "manager" of the new car or used car department, you know "the suits"!

Don't knock those who do the work, and yes, most don't have a clue of what most here know, but they "need a paycheck", no matter how small, so they do what they are told to do, to get the check.

Think about this before you say things about the person doing the job.

Instead, consider the business side of this and that the "suit" is who you should be addressing your opinions towards.

Excellent points Ron. Anyone that has ever done work with a dealership has most likely encountered this kind of thing. The dealers here have been putting heavy downward pressure on pricing for the last 2 years and there are guys that will play the game and give them what they want. There will always be hacks and lowballers. The great thing is they are an excellent tool to distinguish the difference between the quality and service you provide.

Guys like this are why I stopped posting on the forums for the better part of the last 6 years. I'm not sure why detailing attracts so many of this unique type of individual - I'll never figure it out.

I hear you on that, Scotty; the thing is I'd rather put up with the short stints these guys ultimately have on the forums than stay away from them myself. I'm here to better myself as a detailer and push for the betterment of the industry as a whole; why let an occasional idiot or two stop me from pursuing my own interests?

There are always a few goofs that literally drive away some of the good guys with their stubborn, idiotic ideas and/or attitudes. I know of more than a couple of incredible detail business people that just don't post at all because of it. Holden was a great example of this - he was running his mouth non stop on another forum I'm a member at and I called him out months before he toasted that Lambo. I tire easily of dealing with that kind of stupidity and just really don't want to waste energy dealing with it

Hi Jeff - I looked at your video, but the only thing I was interested in is your buffing technique. As far as your removal of overspray - it isn't rocket science. I do it once in awhile, but would never "specialize" in it. It isn't me. Good for you though, if that pays the bills. I hope you charge a lot of $$$$ for it.

Back to your buffing style. I believe at least one person suggested to look at your own work under halogen lights but after cleaning the paint with IPA or a "paint cleaner" product. I maybe off here, but with the way you buff, you are leaving awful buffer trails behind. Hard to see on silver color, but they are there.

Once or twice the car is washed and the oils are gone, this is most likely how your "details" look like. I personally wouldn't be proud of it at all.

Service techs? when it comes to paint, you might as well have 2 dumbbells observing you. They are clueless.

Have a happy thanksgiving and start turning out quality work. Like Rasky1.

I just looked at the one videos of your boy friend Mikenap, providing this is your guyraskyr1's not even impressed in the least. He was wiping off an Bmw, I have a videos where i am blading the same car while two BMW service tech are observing me. thats the best you can do boys.

LMAO! Jeff it was nice of you to stop by my YouTube channel and post comments. I'll probably leave them there so that people can look at your channel too.

I rarely do overspray jobs now days, but when I did/do do them I certainly don't scrape the paint with a razor blade. If it works for you then have at it. As far as your polishing techniques go, well I can honestly say that was me 21 years ago working for a high volume auction. In 2005 I moved away from that type of work and focused on doing cars the correct way.

Just a little FYI JEFF...the video you commented on of mine is going to be added to Optimums official web page.

Have a happy Thanksgiving!

Thomas, I know your just trying to be nice, but its men like Jeff that make people think that they can achieve perfect paint using god-awful techniques. Somewhere in one of his rants he said that we are all wipe on wipe off waxers. That is such an insult to people like you Thomas, and Barry, and Rasky to name a few.

I to would also like you to use your HD video camera Jeff and do multiple IPA wipedowns to a black car that you "polished" with a wax. In your videos you say that you polished the vehicle, but in here you said that BC-2 is a wax. Huh? How are you polishing the paint with a "wax"? If that were the case then all of us wipe on wipe offers are just doing it wrong i guess! Your overspray removal seems to work and your good at it. Stick to that. Because the finish your leaving behind on cars is more than likely terrible and similar to the BMW that Thomas posted. The fact that you think you can perfect results with your techniques is an outrage. Proper corrections takes TIME and is not something that can be RUSHED.

WOW. Just saw that.... I'd love it if he could point out the swirls he sees you instilling in paint.

I just watched that video again, and I must say the most impressive thing in it is the adhesive Volvo uses for their emblems.

DeWalt cranked up full tilt, using a big wool pad completely on its edge, and arm movements reminiscent of an epileptic seizure...I suppose all that is flawless technique. :der:
