Brown Royal Non-Acid Wheel Cleaner

While I don't consider it "hype" in the sense that some other products with known names get, it's th eonly wheel cleaner I've ever used that even comes close to living up to the billing of being able to be sprayed on/let dwell/rinse off with any sort of marked results. True, it's not 100% clean without some agitation and I know by virtue of it being able to clean like that it has other disadvantages/drawbacks. But I've never used an APC or other wheel/tire cleaner that cleans with as little user interaction as this does. Granted, I've not used everything that's out there, and I've probably used a lot of stuff other folks haven't. But as far as living up to what I've seen posted on boards and such, this is one of the few products that actually exceeded my expectations.



As soon as the makers/vendors of this stuff realize they can get us for 2-3 times the cost, it won't be much of a value anymore anyway. It'll be just like buying most any other "boutique" product - $20+ for a 16 ounce bottle.

Ya know, the price to performance value is great! Plus, you can use it on tires, wheel wells, engines, and even paint!!

I've done several reviews on this site of this product and it never seems to get any attention.



I have been using it two years on the same set of wheels and I am not going to lie it was "slightly" corrosive to the clear coat of my aluminum wheels until I diluted it. As far as cleaning ability it is unmatched by any other product I have ever used and it has far more purposes than any APC I have ever used. I use it to clean wheels, tires, engines, greasy suspension parts, diesel fuel and soot, and I even used it a bunch of time on my white car after off roading (DONT ASK). If you use it undiluted on paint it will dull the clear and require a polish but if you dillute it you are good to go. Its cleaning ability is unmatched in my opinion along with its price. These days, I buy it buy the drum because I have even found household uses for it.



Just my $0.02. I really don't see it taking off on here because the rest of the product line is mediocre... but this product in particular is OUTSTANDING!!! Don't knock it unless you've tired it !!!!

I have had good experience with this stuff.. and I put a video up for city-slicker purposes (those of us who don't have a driveway/facilities for a bucket wash)..



EDIT: Video may be a bit boring for the first 2 minutes (ok, the whole thing may be "boring") but around 2:10 I start spraying the cleaner off and you can see some results..
