Hi all,
I've been lurking for a while. I took delivery of an arctic metallic 335i yesterday. Drove it straight home and into the garage. No dealer prep was done other than Autoband and removing white factory film.
I have washed, clayed, and rewashed. After removing a few gummy clay marks here and there, I have a completely virgin clear coat. I have been over it with flourescents looking for fine scratches or swirls and find none.
At this point, I would use Ultima Paint Prep, followed by PGP. However, is there really a need to use the paint prep? I don't see one, but the ultima website mentions that the paint prep "readies" the paint for PGP.
Opinions?
Regards,
Pete
