I've been reading up and plan to start my first "real" detailing experience with my Porsche (91 911). I'm guessing the car has been maintained by mediocre detail shops because there are some pretty good swirl marks on most body panels when viewed under fluorescent lights. PO's weren't the do-it-yourselfe types. So far I've picked up the following:
PC Buffer
Mothers Clay Magic
3M show car detailing cloth
3M SMR for most of the car (and 3M Perfect It II #39002 for the bad areas)
Pinnacle Souveran Car Wax
Am I missing any steps? Should I be doing something between the SMR and Souveran?? I'm not sure I understand the difference between a sealant, glaze, and wax. Kinda thought these were the same???
I'm also interested in advice on pads for the Polishing. I'm was thinking of wool on the bad spots but not sure about what to use with the SMR....any advice?
