Who has tried the Blackfire SRC compound? I know that most say it's menzerna 3.01 with added lube, but what kind of results are people getting?

Although the resulting finish looked good, my pads were gummed up pretty badly after doing just 1/2 the hood. Maybe orange pads aren't a good choice with this polish, but I didn't have the time (or the extra pads on hand) to try to finish out the car with BF-SRC, so I switched back to my old standby, HTEC.
Another thing, BF-SRC residue is a bit of a pain to remove. I ended up wiping off the majority with a dry MF, then QDed with ONR and a clean towel; that cleaned up the rest.
I think there's a great polish hiding in that bottle somewhere . . . I just need to figure out a pad/technique combo that works for me.

I occasionally run across some pretty hard clearcoats (in particular, a '95 BMW M3 owned by a friend) . . . that's the biggest reason I picked up the BF-SRC. I wanted a polish that would work for those occasionally-stubborn hard paints. Applying it on the Mazda was just an experiment to see how the polish worked.Changeling said:Just in time, I was getting ready to order it, whoever your mini review made me change my mind. Do you mind my asking what you were trying to accomplish with this compound?
