...what makes an "MR" Civic, different from a regular SI.
Volvoguy-
Thanks. I also used #40 on the tires, and after several trips through dusty road construction, they still look a good as when I buffed them.
The MR is the color of the car. As the Si was only made in 3 colors, and they are somewhat unique as far as the main colors Honda uses, the 99-00 Si's are commonly referred to by the following:
MR - Milano Red
EBP - Electron Blue Pearl
FBP - Flamenco Black Pearl
Dr. Jones has pictures of all three colors side by side, the black one is his and the red one is mine. (Those were just before I painted the fog lights.)

I don't have any mods done on the car right now. I go to school full time and it makes that kind of extra cash hard to come by at times. I like how the car looks stock, and I have the feeling once I start, I won't be able to stop. If I got rims and tires, I'd want the suspension to get full performance out of them, and if you have the handling, then you need a little more in the engine to really feel what the car can do... etc. I'm not ready to get into that cycle just yet, but hopefully that's not too far in the future.
Feel free to ask any questions about Hondas, I'm a Honda enthusiast (blame my dad) and always happy to answer qeustions about what I feel are good reliable cars for those of us who don't have the finances of the more fortunate.
