BFWD vs. MPL

Yeah, I'd say I use less than 1/2oz for a whole car. The key is a well prepped surface, if its polished well, you aren't going to use much of any LSP.

Just want to comment on this as I think it needs clarification. You don't "need to" apply it thin. You should because a little goes a long way. Applying a little extra and putting it on thick will not be any harder to remove in my experiences with it. With it being very runny, it is easy to accidentally apply to much to the pad.

BFWD just keeps going and going lol. You'll see!

I have tried it very thin and during my first few shots at it, I applied it thick, and if you apply it thick, it'll be a little harder to remove. Now, from the guys at PAC, they told me the best an easiest way to apply it is with a gold LC pad(like it was mentioned before) on a PC. It spreads better

I went from hand applying BFWD years ago with a red foam pad to using a PC. It's so much easier, especially once the pad is primed. I haven't tried the gold pad yet, but I've had great results with an LC black and red pad. Buffing with a PC is also a breeze if you want to change it up...I do when I'm lazy :)

Sorry to open an old thread, if applying BFWD by hand, what would be the recommended applicator (MF pad, MF towel, foam pad..)? Also, do you go panel by panel wiping on/off, or do the whole car and then wipe off?

Thanks!

IMHO MF absorbes too much of the product and be counterproductive to the key of application, which is to apply a very thin film. Gold pads are very dense and do a great job of keeping the product on, not in the pad. Make for very easy speadability.
