BFMS NOW $80.00?? Booooooooo

I bet it will be #26

Why would anyone pay $80 for that? I can get #26 for $16:

Yepper, looks like the new price is $80 (with a pretty new plastic case)
Like many things in the past there are some tubs still out there for $60.
If you want BFMS get it now at the $60 price while it's still on the shelf.
I'm sure once they are gone then there will be no more at the $60 price.

Maybe?
Just maybe when sales slump way down the price might go with it?
Just another way of looking at it.:D

I don't know, people do buy Fuzion at 175 including a refill. Pretty close to the same price point over all. Still the increase is hard to swallow. I will likely just buy a sample size as I don't use wax too often anyway. Hence the reason I am trying to dump off my last tub of batch 23.

I could not see a customer willing to pay more for waxing their car, when you have to raise your prices. Collinite and Duragloss do the exact same thing and cost less. I can purchase alot of good product for $80. IMO. Many customers could care less about what goes on their vehicle. They either want shine, gloss, glass look, or durability.

Well another way to look at it is Pinnacle Souveran in 8oz. goes for $95
Blackfire Midnight Sun in 7oz was at a $60 price point that competed.

IMHO By modifying the packaging the price point was raised to close the gap.
This way two in-house products were not in direct competition with themselves.
I'm not 100% sure this is the reason but I think the "kit" box is a $$ distraction.

I heard somewhere that the same person made the formula for Souveran and BFMS.

This is a good point. It may very well be BFMS was killing pinnacle souveran. I think you must have nailed it.

Bummer!

However, In do time, the new 3oz size will go on BOGO just like the Fuzion. Patience is the name of the game.

Todd, there's nothing wrong with charging people for what goes into a product, but to raise prices on people IMO is pushing it. Why not just keep selling the regular batch at the same price and selling the better quality for more?

You know netflix right now is charging people 16 dollars for service that used to be 8. And now they are suffering because all those loyal customers are dropping their service. It's the way business works

I think you just have to decide what works best for your application and what you are trying to accomplish. I had no problem when I bought the Pinnacle Souveran and I'm glad I did, fantastic results. The price was high but I'm still on that jar 3 years later. Prices go up just look at what happens at the gas pump. Hang in there things always have a way of evening out.

glad I bought it back when it was only 59..I wont be buying it again paying $20 more for a stupid case that what looks to be a cheap handgun case.

I say put your money where your mouth is. If it seems pricey, don't buy it.

An overabundance on the shelf will yield a sale price.

I'd pay double the price it is currently if thats says anything. I absolutely love it and I almost refuse to use anything else. I apply it pretty thin. I am currently at 146 applications and have a little less than half of the container left. I finally got around to wax/sealing my truck today. It was still beading up from the last time I did it, in March of 2011. My truck is definitely subjected to tons of miles/road conditions. I put 21,000 miles on my truck from Feb 2011-now, lol. I also purchased a complete tub when it was being sold at $49. Depending on how busy I am this summer I should be able to get through this season on my half tub yet.

if you consider the case and the microfiber of little or no value because you don't need it, then per oz...

new price $79.99/7.4 oz = $10.81/oz
old price $59.99/7 oz = $8.57/oz

that is $2.24 more per oz.

You can dilute the difference in price by presuming added value from the microfiber and the wax suitcase. Personally, I find no need to put wax in a little suitcase and have my own stock of microfibers.
