best way to remove ice?

Oh gosh, last year it started even earlier so I guess I won't complain. It is frustrating for us car nuts though.

Man. It's hot as hell. It's 80+ degrees right now, and a cold front is on the way and will push temps back in the 30's tuesday morning!! GRRRRR. Hopefully my car will have the cover on and I won't deal with any frost on my windows. Don't wanna get sick so I can wash my car.

As far as the ice goes, I usually crank up the truck about 10 minutes before I plan to leave. Right after I do that, I take the scraper/brush and use the brush and brush most of the snow/ice off WITHOUT TOUCHING THE PAINT. I leave as little as I can on. While the truck is heating up, the hood gets warm from the engine and melts the ice.

Off-topic, but would FK425 help with the pollen problem?

Bucket or jug of HOT tap water... I\'m from Wisconsin .. went to school in Minneapolis .. lived in Chicago, Toronto and Boston. Have been throwing hot water on my windshields and side windows for 30yrs.. (would not kick-a-snake by doing it -10below)\r\n\r\nMost people get all nervous seeing you do it, but just this morning we had freezing rain last night here in MD with about 1\" of snow for a topper. Took a gallon of hot water to clean the windshield. ...no scrapping or looking thru teeny holes. Most of the schlubs around here don\'t bother to do anything?! ...goes with their non-use of a turn signal.\r\n\r\nj i m
\r\n Some people have cracked windshields doing that. Often a short edge crack that gets worse over time. Who knows, maybe they were using boiling water.\r\n\r\nIf it has worked for you fine.'
