Best wax for long term protection?

I have used Souveran and love it, but it does not last long at all..

Looking for a very nice wax for a truck that will sit outside.. with this Texas heat need a stable Carnuba wax..

Any thoughts?

I'd look away from a carnuaba wax in the hot texas weather. Natural wax and heat do not go well together...I'd say go synthetic. I'll let others chime in though...

I'd say collinite 476s or IW845 will both be your best carnuaba wax choices. As far as sealants go I'd have to say UPGP or Opti-Seal very nice easy application.....

Try the liquid souveran with polycharger. Durability is great. It lasts twice as long as the souveran paste.

I'd go with what this man says.

Don't even trying to use Souvie with Polycharger. Just buy 845 for like $12 and have it for the next 5-8 years to use for the winter.

Collinite 476s, 1000p, zaino, duragloss, and Klasse just to name a few. There are a lot of things to consider when you say "durability." Black car or white car? Rain/ snow, or lots of sun? hand wash or drive through? Is easy of application a big deal? I am thinking that you might consider some layers of different stuff to build up some really solid protection rather than one product, one layer.

this is straight from collinite's site. if 845 is used for to protect high voltage lines then imagine what it will do for your car

Super Doublecoat Auto Wax (No. 476s)

One of the finest paste type auto waxes available. Easy to apply and absolutely DETERGENT PROOF. Collinite Super Doublecoat is guaranteed to outlast and outshine any other competitive auto wax, polish or protective coating under any conceivable condition. That's why it's called the PERMANENT AUTO WAX. No hard rubbing or buffing... and no special applicator is required. Collinite Super Doublecoat will last a full year, even under adverse conditions. Clear coat safe.

Liquid Insulator Wax (No. 845)

This heavy duty liquid wax was originally developed for use by electric power companies for protection against high voltage power failure, fires and explosions. It's primary use is on the finishes of automobiles, trucks, buses and airplanes where durability, high gloss and lasting protection are paramount. An excellent choice for fleet applications and very easy to use--requires minimum rubbing or buffing. Clear coat safe.

Thanks guy's for the good info.. looks like Collinite 476s is the ticket.. now I have to order it.. I wish they sold it in the stores.. just makes it easier..

I thought Harbor Freight at one time sold this stuff?

Its a Pewter color.. sits outside, blistering heat, rain, heat, rain, and more heat... did I mention heat? This is Houston, Texas.. we have "winter" so it gets in the 50's at night.. woo hoo!

The weather in my country like texas weather , for best durability iused zymol concours.

yes ,souveran does not last long beacuse of that iuse zymol field glaze over souveran after evrey 2 washes.

Well. I just found a new bottle of Klasse sealant (gray bottle) in my garage.. I will give it a try..

KSG is a good choice

a few thing to remeber (it sounds like you have not used it)

you need a AIO (like Klasse all in one, red bottle)

as it will not bond to everything

it must be applied thin-thin- thin

as in if you see it going on it is too thick

apply too much and it is hard to remove
