Best wax for a deep wet look

Just looking for some opinions. not concerned with durability as the car only comes out on sunny days during summer.. spends more time being detailed than on the road..

I use Souveran paste wax or P21s layered over KAIO. I, too like the "wet" look and find nubas hard to beat. QD with crystal mist and your in business.

Also, if you find that static becomes a problem, FK425 will come in handy....:D

The great majority of the look is going to come from the polish, not the wax. So get that in order first. Then maybe some nice carnauba. I hear good things about the P21 100%

Clearkote's Carnauba Moose buffed off with Optimum Car Wax. Apply CMW to the whole car, then go back and give each section a light spritz of OCW as you remove the excess CMW.

So if the great majority of the look is coming from the polish and that comes first, why suggest p21 and not suggest a polish?

Because you still have to protect the finish. And yes the look will come from polishing.

paint will always look deeper and wetter after a good final polish (i love 3M ultrafina) reguardless of the paint underneath, a good carnuba will always bring more depth than a sealant like klasse.. so if you took your time polishing, and used a wax that also increases depth (i dont have anything to reccomend when it comes to that) then your finnish will look as deep and wet as it can... without literally being wet anyway, ha..

Swax by Deep Finish wiped off with a little Deep Detail

or CG Wet Mirror Finish with either DeepDetail or CG SQD

For both Durability & wetness Z5pro & Z8

Im going to give the "insert any amount of appropriate polishing/glaze/sealant job followed by any quality carnauba wax here" answer.

Be honest with you... Every better than average carnauba wax Ive ever used looks the same at the end of the day. More than anything it breaks down to ease of use. CK's carnauba moose, PS21 Mothers, Souveran. Used them all and they can be made to look the same.

I preffer Carnauba Moose simply based on ease of application, and price / quantity / service. Goes on easy & fast. Unlike most other carnauba's it wont throw a fit when placed on a warm car, or a car that's in full sun. Aslong as it's below scalding hot - it will go on OK. Gives a PS21 look for cheaper and faster.

Favorite "wet" combo after all these years after polishing (diamond cut->DACP) is still Vanilla Moose followed with Carnauba Moose.

I digress... Moral of the story is any good carnauba is going to look the same provided the same prep & clean-up work.

With that in mind.....why in the world would ANYONE use a $300/$2500+ nuba?

I'd love to hear answers to that.:nixweiss

^Cause when you spent $80k+ on a car there is no way you will want a $50 can of wax on it...

I shop at the Dollar Store sometimes cause I can get the same product a high end store will offer for $15+ for $1...Some people just makes them feel like a better person cause they have money and can spend it...

Interesting. I've found that generally, people with a lot of money (old money) don't like spending it. My dad had a tidy sum of money, and he is the cheapest SOB I know.

People with lots of money tend to like and often appreciate nice things, and sometimes care well for them. But conspicuous consumption is something for the young crowd.

The wealthy people I know wouldnt be caught dead in certain places or using certain things cause it wasnt worth a lot or it didnt cost a lot...For some reason they think they are on a different level or something...

I do know those people with money that wont spend anything either but its a different kind of money if you know what I mean...

I know exactly what you mean. I guess the wealthy folks I know tend to be older, and have money that's been in the family for quite some time (with one exception). All of them like nice things, but if you saw them in the street, you'd never think they had a lot of money.

Funny seeing how the "other half" lives sometimes.
