Best Tire Dressing

i love optimums origanal tire dressing but i heard there discontining this. im so bummed. i know they have optibond but i never tryed that yet ..

If you want long lasting than your going to need a silicone based dressing. Ive heard good things about Megs endurance gel.

Optibond is long lasting for a waterbased one but when excess water gets on the tire it wont have the same shine.

I have tried many tire dressings looking for the wet look shine and no sling. I have tried Pinnacle Gel, Armor All Extreme Gel,Adams VRT, Detail Kings TNT, Jax Wax Super Blue, Looks Wet No Mess, aerosol, and various other dressings. I'm still in search of thr perfect dressing. What I have found that all need adequate time to dry. Especially when multiple coats are applied. Spray or applicator type dressings. If left to dry most will not have much sling. If applied too heavy, the dressings run in the tread of tires. This does not dry as fast as the outer wall,as a result when you drive this causes sling. Let the dressing dry as long as possible to keep sling to a minimum! IMO

The best I've ever used was Turtle Wax Tire Wax. Im not big on tire dressing, but this stuff is cool. It lasts forever and most importantly, doesn't grab dirt and dust as bad as most other stuff I've seen.

Showroom, I use optibond cut 1:1 applied with a foam applicator. There is absolutely zero sling even if I drive off right after.

I just tried some FK108, while its not as glossy as the optibond, I didnt experience any sling either.

On the other hand, even when I let Megs Hot tire Shine dry over night, I still experienced some sling. Not to mention the nasty grime that built upon it after a few days.

Just my opinion but Ill never going back to using a silicone based dressing. I dont need my tires to look good after a rain because the rest of the car is dirty anyways. I also dont like the extreme shine. And lastly, I hate the extreme dirt attraction. If my pants rubbed against the tire I knew I would have a black stain, that would never come out.

I only keep a bottle around because a few people like this look. These people usually request the higher shine, but for those who havent, Ive used optibond and never had a complaint. Only compliments.

I want to try Tuf Shine and Surf City, I have heard great things about both. I currently use FK 108 or Meg ASD, I like both. ASD last a lil longer and I can make the tires shine the way my fiance likes

If you live in a dry region, I think Hyper Dressing is nearly impossible to beat. The totally deep dark look it leaves without any greasy feel, look, or sling is amazing. It's also nice that it is dilutable and cheap- you can use it at whatever strength you want.

Z16 is my number one tire dressing. You may find dressings that last longer, but as far as looks go...IMHO, nothing beats Z16.

My last couple of customers have even commented on how great their wheels and tires look...There is just something about the way Z16 looks on a perfectly cleaned tire.

I LOVE the Giovanna Tire Gel that Autogeek use to sell. Put it on thin (a little goes a loooong way), make sure there is none standing in any of the crevaces of the tire, and let it "cure" for an hour. It lasts decent, and looks GREAT. I have no idea where you buy it now, but Angelo and Eric (ZoomZoomMazda & blk45) gave me a couple of bottles they had at Detail Fest, so I am set for a while!!!

Other than that, I like Hyper Dressing, as you can dilute it to the desired look.

I 100% agree with Casey here. Z16 is the only tire dressing that goes on my car and clients...
