best OTC tire dressing

MY VOTE GOES FOR MEG'S HIGH ENDURANCE. LASTS FOR EVER, NO SLING AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT REAL SHINY JUST GIVE IT A SWIPE OR TWO WITH AN OLD RAG OR PAPER TOWELS. I like the high gloss look personally.

That is what I am using right now. It takes a while to apply, but it lasts. Stoners More Shine Less Time is very easy, but did not last for me. I have yet to try Mothers FX or Z16, but they are next on my list.

McGuiars Hot Shine !!!!!!!!!

:2thumbs: my pick too !

I'am surprise alot of the hardcore detailers here still use Armour All, I find it yellows the rubber and you have to work in the product several times to get a decent shine, so is there a good hidden reason why you are using old skewl, cost, abundance of stock ?

I use Armour All or 2000 protectant for my wheel wells to get rid of my old stock ..LoL

Armor All EXtreme Shine Tire gel.

I got 50+ tires outta one bottle. Simply one of the best. Their tire foam is awesome for whell wells and larger tires.

agreed. when i need something quick, i just spray let it sit for 10 minutes and spread evenly with a tire swipe, done. it's the only tire foam i use these days, and for only around $3 a can, you can't beat it...

I do the same thing but with a MF mitt. I wipe down the wheel wells too. 2.57 a can at Wal-Mart. I buy 10 a week.

Armor All Tire Foam on wheel wells and tires. Let sit for 10 mins and wipe down.

I guess it is to easy for some to use Hot Shine!!! Doesn't get all over your rims.... Just to easy to use.

I use and love the cheap-o No Touch Tire foam, its in a white can with purple writing and you can find it at Wal-Mart for like 2 bucks for a can.

Amen to that. It's all I use for tires.

I just tried the No Touch Tire Foam and it's still going at 10 days. Not super-shiney, which is a good thing. It leaves the tires with a nice deep, satiny finish.

I also tried it on my Father-In-Law's tires and used a tire swipe to spread it since the tires are SUV sized and I didn't like the way they came out. I figured it was because I wiped off too much too soon instead of letting it penetrate for a while. I resprayed it and left it alone. Not sure how it turned out because I turned the truck back over to him right after.

Still for <$3 and available locally, I'm happy with it!

Another vote for Mothers F/X!! I've used the same bottle for over a year now and I still have a bunch of it left. I would say I've done close to 50 tires with it, and I've even used it some in my wheelwells! A little goes a long way with F/X, and it looks awesome.

Michelin Tire Shine is a close second. I did at least 50 tires out of one bottle. I've also used it on my exterior plastics and even in the interior. It too looks great IMO.

I got a can of Hot Shine in a detailing kit last Christmas. I hated it at first because I thought it was too shiny, but the look of it kinda grew on me. It seems to last pretty well also.

agreed, i've had my bottle for a looong time...

I'm puttin' the flame suit on because Teflon doesn't have a great rep around here for there car care products, but lately I'm really liking their Tire Shine product. Its not pretoleum based, but rather a water based product (I think). Spray on, wipe off any overspray, walk away. Available OTC in many stores, as well. :)

If F/X looks and acts like the Michelin stuff I may have to give it a try, that was one on my favorite tire products. Now I'm having great luck with Hot Shine trigger spray applyed via PC, it really increases the durability

...You'll have to explain to me how you can evenly apply tire dressing with the PC.
