Ok, since I am new to this and I see hundreds of products out there, what are some of your favorite OTC products....



Categories are:



Wash

Polishes

Sealant

Carnauba Wax

Tire dressings

Vinyl/Plastic Protectant/Polish

Window cleaner

Engine Degreaser/Cleaner

etc...



Here are mine:

*GC Wash

*haven't gotten any polishes, just have the Sonus SFX polishes

*NXT, just used on my dads accord, and I liked it, going to try S100 here soon

*Meguiars High Endurance Tire Gel

*Meguiars NXT Protectant, going to try 303 next though

*Stoners IG

*Gunk engine degreaser works fine for me

*want to try some CD2 detailer but can't find any

*forgot to add: Mothers Billet for my rims

*I guess a PC 7336 is OTC, you can buy it at Lowes :D

Polishes - 3M perfect it Fine Cut/S100 SEC/meguiars SMR



Sealant -gliptone platinium (otc around me), NXT



Carnauba Wax - S100, #26



Tire dressings - Stoners tire shine (more shine, less time)



Vinyl/Plastic Protectant/Polish - stoners trim shine for exterior trim, 303 or meguiars natural for interior



Window cleaner - stoners IG/rainx/windex



Engine Degreaser/Cleaner - gunk
 
Wash: EO wet or NXT

Polishes: Mother powerpolish

Sealant: Mothers FX Synway. New Mothers reflections would take honors, but is not widely available :(

Carnauba Wax: Mothers natural formula (step 3)

Tire dressings: Mothers reflections / FX.

Vinyl/Plastic Protectant/Polish: Armor All low shine, new turtle wax platinum protectant.

Window cleaner: EO glass cleaner and Meguiars NXT.

Engine Degreaser/Cleaner: Citrus APC

Tire and wheel cleaner: Eagle one A2Z

Glaze: 3M imperial hand glaze. Honorable to mothers sealer and glaze (step 2) and Meguiars #7

Leather: Lexol and Meguiars Gold class leather wipes

Paint cleaner: Mothers prewax cleaner (step 1)

Quick detailer: Turtle wax platinum ultra gloss or mothers showtime.

Blend wax: New mothers reflections top coat! Turtle wax platinum ultra gloss.

What qualifies as an over the counter product? It means different things to different people. If you lived next door to Autogeek than everything would be over the counter;) I can get a lot of good products local like P21S, Collinite, and 303. I consider these to be over the counter while many probably have to order on line.
 
Only have a few OTC products, NXT Tech Wax & IG... Griots is local for me, so their undercarriage spray & rubber cleaner.

Don't like any OTC sealants (I have NXT, but I think it sucks)

S100 & #26 (Got Souveran, but haven't tried it yet)

Don't have a favorite tire dressing

No particular favorite glass cleaner

Sealant: ( haven't tried but I'd say Collinite for durablity-it's

technically a syntheitc product)



Carnauba Wax: S100 ( for beauty)



Tire dressings: 303, Vinylex



Vinyl/Plastic Protectant/Polish: same as above



Window cleaner: I'm hearing good stuff about the Meg's pro

glass cleaner --in a gallon concentrate



Engine Degreaser/Cleaner: Will be testing Amazing Roll Off,

find/try 303 cleaner
