Best bang for the buck MF's

I'm looking for the best bang for the buck MF's that wont kill my budget. (probably $25 at most for the time being). I'd like to get as many MF's possible for polish, wax, QD, etc. removal. I already have some cheap Wal Mart MF's for interior/engine bay cleaning. I also have a couple of the GC OTC MF's. I've noticed pakshak and excel detail seem to have the best deals for multiples. Can you guys recommend which of the two are better in your opinion and specify which ones would be suitable for the purposes I stated?

Thanks

I'm curious about this myself as well. Still to newb to this, but I've read on these forums that most people don't like the Walmart towels (Microtex and Detailer's Choice) because they don't seem as soft as their "nicer" mf, and also leave a bit of micromarring, which doesn't happen with nicer mf such as Pakshak. People here seem to like the Vroom-brand mf from Target, though.

What would you guys say is the best OTC mf for drying? Wax removal? I've been digging through tons of old posts, but haven't found a definitive answer. (sorry, don't mean to thread-hijack)

Thanks for the replies everyone. The excel 12 for 10 does seem like a good deal, so I may go that route. Unless someone else chimes in.

S/H $8.99 for 12 towels at Excel

S/H $5.95 for 12 towels at ADS

So keep the s/h in mind, sometimes you can order 2 and it's the same s/h, so it's better to load up the cart.

I absolutely agree, consider all associated costs when making your determination.

AND the ADS deal might be good (I've not purchased from them)...

BUT also consider that Patrick (Excel) does charge actual freight. I don't know what that calculates out to for your situation, but Patrick does refund (via Paypal) and overage charges for S&H.

Bang for the buck I'd say the Excel 12 for 10 Supreme deal.

I agree. The Excel Supremes are terrific towels, and they're relatively inexpensive. The 12 for 10 deal just makes them even more appealing.

+1 for Excel towels

+1 for Vroom towels

I used the excel's for buffing and the vroom for everything eles. Vroom has very nice MF's. I like the yellow drying towel as well. Very very thirsty.

Thanks again everyone, I think I'll just get the excel 12 for 10 for the time being. I'm just getting started on my autopian lifestyle, so I just need some initial quality MF's. Experimenting and buying various brands of MF's will come later after I've gotten the hang of things. :buffing:

Sounds like an awesome deal to me. Do you have a link please?

Are the Vroom towels good for drying? They're not WW, are they?

I saw a big Viking mf drying towel at kragen yesterday, but that didn't look like WW either. Is it any good? Sort of pricey though, at $11 + tax
