What pads, speed and how much on the pad do you recommend?

Deep Gloss Auto Salon said:Dan: what's your zaio process?
MDRX8 said:I can tell you based on Dan's advice I purchased ZAIO. I was stunned on how well it worked. It has lasted about 4 months on a DD Tahoe. I could not be more pleased. Thanks Dan..
Dan said:Most cars, its a white polishing pad, probably about 5-6 pea sized dots to prime then about 2-3 per panel. A little goes a long way. Do the whole car, then buff off by hand.
A few snaps of my friends S4, we just did a quick wash, clay and ZAIO. About 2 hours invested.

Dan said:DG501 is a great product but ZAIO is much better. Much stronger polish and looks quite a bit better. Durability is also a bit better.
Why would you need to strip off 205 oils before ZAIO, isn't it an all in one that cleans polishes and protects?Accumulator said:One thing to watch out for with ZAIO- I used M205 for my final polish. Did an apparently less-than-thorough job of stripping the oils (hey, I *did* use PrepWash!) and it bit me in a big way! I got weird issues almost like pseudo-holograms that were only visible in certain lighting (the SunGun would show 'em) at certain angles. I was able to solve the problem with aggressive buffing using a dry foam pad (an old Griot's "Wax Removal Sponge", not sure how to describe it...kinda like a firm, but low ppi hand-application pad) and *LOTS* of elbow grease..."lots" as in several hours.
Heh heh, I could've posted the exact same thing, except that on my Tahoe I topped it with FK1000P. Left the Crown Vic ZAIO-only last year though, and it held up a lot better than I ever expected (but I *am* gonna top it this time).
