I feel I was attacked for quoting another person's opinion. I, for one, have only used Zaino products a couple of times, but like the end result. I know there are alternative measures to remove residue...just wanted to hear his alternative measures to do so. Seems all are quick to shoot down another's opinion quickly here. If Zaino is not a product of your choice...what is? I was not trying to disrespect any of the members...I apologize for going off the handle last night.

oklagmcruiser and any new memeber that reads this post, ZaneO was just trying to give some sound advice. You need to be a little more opened minded to other's suggestions and not be so quick to shoot them down. There's a lot of detailing knowledge in this forum and these guys kow what they are talking about, eventhough you may not agree with them 100% of the time.
Education is the key to surviving in this forum. In Autopia, nothing, and I mean nothing, is ever just black and white.
As mentioned in a previous post, Sal suggests using Dawn becasue it is readily available for the average user and it will provide a clean surface for Zaino to adhere to properly.
There are other alternative that will achieve the same result: 50/50 solution of water and isopropyl alcohol, Einszett Acrysol, Prep Sol (both of the last two are used by companies that paint cars to prep the surface prior to painting) and even claying and/or polishing will prep the surface for Zaino.
I use Zain myself and initially used Dawn as suggested. I still do, maybe once or twice a year, But if I decide I that the car surface could look a little better in the interum, I use one of the other methods mentioned.
Experiment with some of the suggestions and tips these guys provide in the forum. Modify them and make them your own but rad and learn.
So as you can see there's more than one way to get something done.
Edited: One more thing I forgot: Zaino users need to remain united and not squabble amongst the ranks.:xyxthumbs
