KAIO doesn't conceal - in fact, just the opposite - it tends to highlight any marring.
If your friend's vehicle was neglected and un-waxed for some time any marring would not have been visible due to the poor condition of the finish.
If, on the other hand, he waxed frequently with an OTC wax, most OTC waxes have strong fillers that conceal marring, for example, NXT. The car will look glossy but that hides the *real* condition of the paint.
KAIO removes all waxes and fillers giving you a *true* picture of your paint. Glossy but badly in need of correction.
