Baby Bentley & BMW Detail....

Oh there's no question about the quality. I wouldn't trade my Lexus for a 300C but I would have seriously looked at it had it been availiable when I bought. Its immediately apparent when sitting in the 300C that its a Chrysler, and not a Lexus or a BMW, or an Audi, or whatever. Doesn't make it a peice though, its a very nice car for the money depending on where your priorities are.

"a peice" LOL how do you mean? Its a well styled comfortable car with lots of room, power, and features for $20k less than comparable vehicles. How can it be "a peice".

One thing I've found funny about the 300C is it draws a lot of hatred from people who have more expensive cars. Seems like a lot of "purchase justifying" is going on.

I paid more for my FWD V6 Lexus...the 300C is an awesome deal.

Beautiful details!

No justifying here. Like you said, sit in one and it's obvious it is not a high end car. I really do think it is a "piece." I'm entitled to my opinion, and we can agree to disagree :) Chrysler quality is subpar, bottom line. The funny part is that every person I see in that car seems to really think they are hot s***.

Well however they're marketing it its working.

Sorry, but I think you're being a little bit haughty about this. Not everyone can afford 5 relatively new 30k+ cars and for many people the 300C is a great car they can afford that offers them the style of cars that they can't. Let em feel like they're hot ****. I mean, you are the one with a $70k BMW, a $35k Acura, 2 $30k Hondas and another $25k Acura right? That is $190,000 in cars. Why do you feel threatened because someone who's proud of their $35,000 300C thinks its in the same league as your cars? Why do you care? If it didn't bother you you wouldn't have made the comment as it had no bearing on his detail.

In order for something to be hated it has to be important, Chrysler got under your skin man.

I made the comment because people were talking about the car, not the detail, so I added my two cents worth. If they can make off-topic comments then so can I. I am not being haughty about this, it is just my opinion. I don't feel threatened, because I could really care less about what other people have. Never once have I made a comment about how I thought I was superior. I talked about the Chrysler. Chrysler, under my skin? I don't think so, but think what you want. Please don't make assumptions about me.

Then whats the point of these statements?

]I should add that the reason I have these feelings is because of the way the car is marketed. If they marketed it as a normal sedan, I wouldn't even say what I said.

The funny part is that every person I see in that car seems to really think they are hot s***.

Nothing condescending or disdainful there. You're right, we'll agree to disagree

hadboostroy, you just got your azz handed to ya!!

Excellent job on both cars, AJ! I really like the 300C; exactly what color is that?

BTW, I bet you had fun with the wheels on the 540. ;)

When someone puts effort into a detail on a car you don't like, the polite thing to do it to comment on the detail itself and not mention you don't like the car. Every time a Hummer is posted, half the posts are blasting the Hummer and it detracts from the thread.

You don't have to like the 300C but save that for general threads discussing the car. We had a huge one a while back.

:)

the after pictures look awsome, but I hate your tiny pictures!!!! :D :D

Can't yu change them?

PS: not to take away from the detail, but in one episode of Fifth Gear they tested the 300C and they really didn't like it's quality. The fun part is the way they show what they mean :D

the point of my statements is to reply to you, because you adressed me. Nope, nothing condescending.

Steck: No not really, stop postwhoring :xyxthumbs

Scottwax: I agree, thanks for being more mature about it. Apparently I am not free to voice my opinion when others are.

GoodnClean, I don't understand why you have to roll your eyes at me, I never did that to you. We don't have to like the same cars you know.

EDIT: I apologize to the original poster, as your thread has gone off track. Once again the details look great. Goodnclean if you have any more comments for me please just pm me so we can keep this private.

If it truly doesn't matter to you stop responding to me. I think you were being a condescending jerk and so far no one else has come to your rescue. So, show me it doesn't matter to you what I and others think about you and stop responding.

There's no reason to PM you as there's nothing else to say.

I think Chrysler products are junk too, and only MB has been able to save them and put out the designs everyone likes (ex. Crossfire).

Most people think that they are hot sh*t because they are Joe "average consumer" that see this design and do a double take. Those who know the ins and out of the car industry know what the car is really about.

Like I've said before, for styling, the car = 10, for innovative design = 1 (Bentley's already been doing this design for years).

But AJ - nice details!!

Wow this sure went downhill fast.......

Excellent details. You're right, the color on that 300 is beautiful! I am curious about the color differences in your pics. Was it due to the sun, or lack of in the before shots?
