So I did this detail on my 21st birthday (Friday, the 26th) for one of my best customers. I was supplied with hot water for QEW and carpet cleaning, music, power, and great company whenever needed. The owner (Craigster) found me on Autopia and I did his Malibu Maxx last month.
Anyways, just did the exterior (interior on his nephew's 2004 GT, but no pics) for the Mach. The paint on Ford's just plain sucks. I thought it might've just been my dad's Cobra, but aside from the overabundance of orange peel, the paint is VERY chip sensitive. The horizontal surfaces pit and etch very easily, but the swirls were a pain to remove. Anyways, final processes were:
-QEW w/hot water
-Poorboy's Clay
-Menzerna PO106 via rotary and LC polishing pad @1500-1700rpm
-Poorboy's EX by hand
-BnB on tires and plastic trim
-HD in wells
Before
After
Sneak peak of my winter trim
Enjoy!
