thanks for the kind words everyone, it means a lot ... it was just such a nice day, that I had to get some shots so I thought I would post them. Actually this post is a little misleading because the finish you are looking at is not purely Z2. I bet several of you suspected this already, so my process and I am never one afraid of courting contraversy went like this.
The usual wash methods for we autopians, (not the recommended Dawn wash) - Although I want Z to last awhile I am really not concerned if I have to re-polish sooner (Read my reply to davidB's new thread as an example!)
Then I IP'd AXE then AIO and then I applied the Z, however I applied it with the PC and a polishing pad (Blue Sonus) - I thought I would try this as the last time I tried applying Z I got too much on the car. The PC method is IMO a much better way of applying this product thinly. I simply sprtized the pad with Z6 (any QD would do I guess) then added four small dabs of Z then went to work. I would manage maybe a whole hood sized panel with each of the above applications.
I waited 30 minutes and wiped off with a MF easy as pie, perhaps I should have layered the Z (I was also doing the wifes car at the same time, so time wouldn't allow).
Although I was happy with the shine from the Z2pro, I still found it wanting in the depth department, on its own I always think Z is a little sterile, very similar in look to the AG products. So I decided to top, and this is where it may become a little contraversial, I decided my mettalic paintwork needed a boost so I applied NXT with PC and polishing pad, wiped off with MF, and then applied P21s by hand one panel at a time WOWO. I believe it was this stage that gave the very wet look to the car that you and I, all noticed.
I was a little tired to type all this yesterday, have a bit more time this morning before I have to work, hence the longer post. Once again, many thanks for your kind words.
Haha yes Mochamanz I was outside a beauty salon, however that was closed it was a Sunday, and if you notice the 'red' shop in the same reflection, that is where I was actually going ... a local Spar (local supermaket) heh heh. When I came out of the shop though, I noticed those mad reflections from the black blinds in the salon window on AXE's hood, couldn't resist taking the shot with the camera.
