It freakin ROCKS!!!!!

OMG, i cant believe how easy it is to use, how slick it is and how awsome it looks.

The only reason i havent used it is becuase i have so much in my arsenal i couldnt justify buying it. I went to carquest lookin for something and it was on sale for $4.99, what the hey.

After using it, it will ALWAYS be in my arsenal.

excellent product and fairly priced as well. been tempted to buy a gallon, but one bottle will last a long time... :2thumbs:

Recently(after a certain lawsuit was filed against B. Meguiar), I have decided to stop using Meguiar's products after my current stocks run out. After seeing the Carquest ad in every car magazine I subscribe to and reading several threads here, I decided to try Duragloss Aquawax.

Believe it or not, there is a Carquest in Cody (pop. 8,835), Wyoming. Even better, they had all of the Duragloss specials in stock. I picked up a bottle of Aquawax and applied it (wet method) after washing my Meguiar's #21 Synthetic Sealent coated 2005 Subaru Legacy GT. I wash my vehicles in the evening, when the sun is very low on the horizon and finish up just about in the dark. I couldn't really tell how the Aquaxwax application turned out until the next day.

I am very impressed with how Aquawax looks and its ease of application. Having applied a coat of Nxt Spray Wax onto my 2004 Mustang Mach1 just days prior, I can definately say Aquawax was easier to put on and it left a gloss slightly better than Nxt Spray Wax. I think my only problem was probably putting on too much Aquawax as I was pushing the water around the panels of my car. I probably thought the water was dilluting the Aquawax too much. Even so, my over use of the product didn't affect its ease of application/removal. Something that cannot be said for other wax and sealent products.

At the $4.99 Carquest sale price, the regular bottles are cheaper than the MSRP gallon price, so I headed back to Carquest . I was told that a truck from Billings, MT delivers every day and in 24 hours, I had 12 more bottles. Guess you can say I'm sold on Aquawax even without knowing how durable it is!

For those looking for Aquawax at local Carquests, be advised that they can get it quickly if the regional warehouse has it in stock. Had I called in the morning, I would have gotten it that afternoon. So, f you don't see it ask the clerk to order it. Additionally, it is not advertised as a limited quantity item, so you can get a rain check at the sales price for as much as you want!

One question: For wet applications, how much Aquawax do you guys apply? As I had mentioned, I just couldn't bring myself to apply as little as I would have on a dry car. There was a lot of beaded water on the Subaru.

Yes it's basically Diluted Z8 I swear that's all Z8 is concentrated AW. Similar style shake well sticker and Smell the damn same, perform on a HIGHLY similar level. I'll put my firesuite on now.

Aw hell, does this make me a Zainoite?

even if AW was just a QD (which we know it isn't), i would buy it just for the ease of use and nice shine it provides and since it adds some protection (went through 2 rain storms with no probs)... makes it even better!

Ease of application means a lot to me. While I'm anal about my vehicles, I try to be realistic. My 2004 Mach1 Mustang stays 100% clean. I wash it or quick detail it everytime it gets driven. As far as I know, its is the cleanest, shiniest car in Cody and people really notice. Of course, now I couldn't stop because everybody would notice!

My 2005 Subaru Legacy GT gets washed once or twice a week. There are many gravel roads out here and quick detailing every day is just silly. (The Mach 1 stays on pavement. Besides, it's lowered!) I drive my 2005 F250 Powerstroke 4X4 off road, so that's last on the detailing hierarchy.

With three vehicles to keep clean, I really appreciate ease of application. It doesn't matter how good a product is, if it isn't easy to work with I'll use it less often. Aquawax is very easy to use, which means I'll use it more often and that means the Subaru and F250 will look better all the time.

Cody, Wyoming - 2003 - 2004 Mach 1 Capital of the World

(More Mach 1s per capita than anywhere else!)

I certainly agree. My wife's van presently has Danase Speed Glaze (now Danase Wet Glaze) with Duragloss 105 and a couple layers of Duragloss Aquawax on it. Friday after washing the van I applied a nice thin layer of Zaino Z8. I was not prepared for the dramatic difference the Z8 made. It really upped the gloss compared to the previous combo. Z8 is definitely not concentrated AW. :heelclick

Well if it was almost the same formula with a few differences and concentrated of course it would make a big difference. I'm not saying it is exactly the same just similar but concentrated with some added ingredients like Sal saw the product and decided to use it but make it better. And charge alot more lol.

I dont think anyone on the board will tell you that I am a friend of Sal's or Zaino at all. But there is no way a company like DG or Zaino would do this. Simple logic my friend. I think you need to check out some ingredients before you make a comment like this. This is so far off.
