AW, this is kinda dumb but i gotta say it.....

Maybe you should do a little of that research before you claim that they are the same product.

I have Zaino doesn't release any ingredients but if you found some other than the loving use of the word polymer please help.

So what you are saying is that you have absolutely no basis for the comment that they are the same product other than they smell similar and you think they look the same? Makes sense...Heck, every paste wax must be the same too.

for me...

AW = :woot2:

Z8 = :getdown

i love both products. i use AW after each wash, even if it is overkill. the ease of use is ridiculously good...i just used it yesterday in hot, direct sunlight on a dark red vehicle and had NO streaking.

I totally agree , I've been comparing it to others in my arsenal and this stuff rocks IMO. It is my go to product !!

I'm going to try more of the DG line .....very impressive !!

I also have many layers of it on my metallic gray 4Runner and to my eye it does not seem to mute any flakes at all , the finish is deep & wet looking. I've also used it on my factory clearcoated rims and its looks spectacular .

I buffed off a section of my hood with a polish 2 days ago and on 1 section I put Natty Blue and the other section I put AW. By visual appearance the AW is deeper , clearer & wetter than the Natty panel.

I'm going to try it on my windshield to see how it works out , needs a polish anyway.

I dont, by any stretch of the imagination, think its a product that has rocked the detailing world. I think its durability is average, its ease of use is great, and best of all its very economical. But adding depth, wetter and muting flakes blah blah blah.............And I certainly wouldnt use it as a base sealant, just a maintainer at best.....I think what makes it "good" is its affordability. It reminds me a lot of EO WAUD, but a lot slicker then WAUD.

I still prefer the JW CJ more. Similar product, but the look is better for me.

Duragloss Aquawax = $7.99 for 22 oz. Can get it for $4.99 this month at CarQuest.

Werkstatt Carnauba Jet = $14.95 for 16.9 oz. :secret

I agree about the cost factor, and that is why I have AW, but sometimes in my eyes, i have to pay for the look I want.

I use AW as a booster to Prime Strong-AJ-T combo. I polish and seal every 3-4 months and in between those times, I use AW (maybe once a month). It might be an overkill knowing that AJ-T provides long durability but AW is such an easy product to use and provides great looks. Affordability is a plus too.

JB,

That is a great setup. I might have to start doing that. But my question, why not just use AJT again....Its so easy.

josh, I used to use AJ-T as a booster a lot before I discovered AW... I actually have only a 1/4 bottle left of AJ-T compared to an almost full Prime-Strong. Anyhow, AW is more economical and provides great looks.. Saves money in the long run while still providing me with the looks that I like...

AW - 22 oz bottle for $4.99 at Carquest

AJ-T - 16 oz bottle for $14.95

Ok since I can't find any Zaino ingredients or Aquawaxes would you care to help on this one by posting some of them??

Why not call Sal and ask him to tell you why Z8 is better than AW?

wannafbody - Don't take this as an attack. I find it kinda odd that someone *could* contact the owner of a detail product manufacturing corporation and he'd have the time and/or the need to say how his product is better than his competitors. Doesn't seem like the most professional thing an owner should do. Are you just kidding around or are you serious? Is this guy really like this?

I am a relatively new user and I do really like this product. I use it over Prime Strong and AJ. My only complaint is that it smudges at times, maybe I am putting it on too thick.

i just used aquawax the other day, have to say, awesome product :) ...........very easy to use and had a really weird, coconut cinnamon sort of smell, hahaha - i used it on a dry car, sprayed a light mist of water to the MF and sprayed AW to the panels - spreads nicely and evenly this way i found :) ...................definitely a product i will use for years to come.............can't say anything for durability as i have only used it twice, and the car hasn't been driven since i applied it, LOL

Based on the glowing praise here I went down to carquest and bought the last 3 bottles of AW for 4.99 each.

I have to say I was a little disappointed. I have been using Poorboy's spray and gloss after each wash, and the paint looks really shiny. After using the AW I noticed that the paint looked darker and I guess more "deep" than with the spray and gloss. Personally, I thought the spray and gloss was more striking, but after seeing the AW on my paint all day I have to agree that the shine was deep and it just seemed "thicker."

Now I'm not saying that AW and S&G are comparable products, but they have both served as my post-wash toppers and they have very different looks. I'll keep you up to date on durability -- that may be the tie breaker.
