Do I need to be careful applying 303? Will overspray onto the nicely waxed car finish do something I should know? Or, is the better application to spray on a towel and wipe away?

Tried 303 on my tires. No pop. I'd like a little more sheen. What's the next product I should try without going ghetto shine?

You would get better results if you apply tire dressing with a eagle one tire swipe. For a little more gloss try Vinylex. It leaves a nice gloss and is not greasy.

Try Vinylex, EagleOne Concours Satin or, my favorite, Zaino tire dressing. All have more pop but don't look "fake" like Big Earls Used Car lot.

Just kidding...

Zaino Z12 is my favorite, also. But I love 303 for all kinds of other stuff. Dashes, interior vinyl, even leather seats between dressing applications. Also inside the engine compartment, wiper blades, etc...

You might want to apply it to a tire swipe, a foam q-tip, or a foam appliciator. When my old foam appliciators get too tired to wax my vehicle anymore, I cut them into smaller pieces and use them to apply my 303 to window mouldings and around my lights. You can use an old piece of cloth of course, or even a terry appliciator, but they both use more product.

I even use foam appliciators to wash my dash and apply my 303 to all the vinyl and plastic inside of my vehicle.

The rest of the gang is correct about what dressing to use. 303 will not give you a very glossy shine. But being water based, I have not found it to do any damage to my finish. It wipes or washes right off. Enjoy!

I currently have the Flex 3401. While it's a great machine, it has it's "annoyances". The biggest factor is I can't use different size backing plates. Also, with the forced rotation, I find my self fighting the polisher on non-flat panels. I'd *really* like to try the G110v2 because I assume you don't have to fight with the polisher, you can use different backing plates, and defect removal rivals the 3401 with the right technique. With that said, if I bought the G110v2, and wasn't satisfied with it over a short period of time, could I return it for a full refund(minus shipping)? I know this is probably unlikely, but it never hurts to ask. :)

I found this on the PAC website. Hope this helps.

We guarantee your satisfaction with a no-hassle policy!

When we say "no-hassle" we mean just that. If a product meet your satisfaction, return the product within 60 days of delivery, postage prepaid, and we'll exchange it or refund your money in full (minus original shipping charges), whichever you wish. We stand behind everything we sell.

*Sorry but all custom items such as car covers, cargo liners, floor mats, and other items that are drop shipped from the manufacturer may be subject to a restocking charge of up to 20%. We do our best to describe each car cover fabric. If you receive your cover and just do not like it, you can still return it. Call us and we'll give you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. You are responsible for return shipping and there will be a 20% restocking charge deducted from your refund. We're sorry for the restocking charge but these are custom ordered products and we have to find someone else that wants your cover.

I don't see polishers listed, but can a PAC member tell me for sure?

If I have the option to return it for a full refund(minus shipping), I'll order the G110v2 Monday. :w00t: I like PAC's "no hassle" policy.

Machines are subject to full refund if the product is defective and the original shipping items (backing plate, manual, handle, box, ect) is returned. We cannot loan out items on a tester basis for obvious reasons, although I am well aware that the current policy does not make this statement. It will be updated shortly, thank you very much for bringing this to our attention.

As an apology for the confusing statement and a big Thank You for pointing it out, I will give you guys (RustyBumper and/or 07 Z-oh-6) a 25% off coupon on ANY Blackfire product or chemical good until Friday. Call Angelo when you place your order and reference this thread. He will take care of you! :wizard:

Machine polishing is so personal that many machines just 'fit' better with some people. In general, on most paints the Flex is going to be more powerful. It is a more powerful machine that removes most user input from the equation. Select a speed, select how hard you want to push, polish...

The G110v2, like other 'random orbital' D/A's, will produce great results from the get go, but great results with more experience/knowledge. However, it may never have the outright polishing power of the Flex (although with proper pad/size/material and experience I have seen them out cut the Flex) for most people and on some paints.

That said they are great machines, there is no wrong answer, only the best answer for you.

If you want to experience the G110v2, why not make a trip down to Meguiar's in Irvine. I am not sure how far that is from you, but I think you would really enjoy one of the Open Car Garage nights.

Very understandable about the polisher return policy. :)

That's an awesome gesture on the 25% off on blackfire/chemical guys products until Friday. Thanks!

Irvine is 45-60 minutes away. I completely forgot that Meguiars offers classes. I'll definitely have to take advantage of that!

nOT to start a problem but

If you already have a flex, and paid the 300 bucks they get for one, why are you looking for a refund on the g110v2? It seems funny that the half price unit would prompt you into asking for the good fortune of a free ride. I myself would feel foolish after paying for a flex with all the info out on the unit. Now you are looking for a free coast if the lesser machine will not also do what you want. You should have asked for a refund on the flex, and then had the other half of the cash in the pocket, after buying a g110v2.

I guess its good business but wow, nice to see the customer comes first.

Whoa....

I've had the Flex for a long time and used it quite a bit. There's no way i could return the Flex at this point. I want to try something new and the g110v2 is getting great reviews. I can easily sell the Flex if I need/want to.
