Well the WRX should be pretty easy to fix, the Miata on the other hand could be a different story.
For the WRX the PC and a polishing pad with some 3M SMR should fix up your swirl problem. Then you can move on to protection which could be either wax or sealant. You could use Blitz wax, Zaino, Klasse, BlackFire it all depends.
The Miata could be a little more work. If the swirls are that bad then the PC probably will not fix the problem. That will require the use of a rotary buffer. If you have never used one of these before I would not recommend trying one. They are very strong machines and can get away from you very quickly.
