Anyone know anything about Zaino Z-2 PRO?

I was checking out the Zaino site, to see if Zaino ever came up with an AIO competitor, and I saw a link to this: Zaino Z-2 PRO

Z-2 PRO? Anyone know anything about this?

According to Zaino, Z-2 PRO should provide at least 6 months of protection in most operating conditions.

rrrrright.

I read that.

I already get 6 months or better, on three different cars, with the old Z-2.

I just got my order of Z two days ago and got the old Z2. Anyone think that they will replace it with the Pro? It's unused.

Sal is being very conservative, based on my use of the product, it's more like 9-12 months.

I've been using this stuff for awhile now, it will change everything you think you know about Zaino.

The base has been tweaked to allow the use of better (and stronger) polymer resins. Durability is insane, slickness and gloss have also improved. All streaking application and removal problems have been corrected. It dries in under 20 minutes, without ZFX, in ANY conditions, including very humid areas.

I've used every product Sal makes, and a lot that have never been made available to the general public and this is the best Z product I've ever used. If you only buy one Zaino product, buy Z2-pro, you won't be disappointed.

Looking at the website, the new bottle has Pro on it to the right of the "Z" and mine doesn't. I just got off the phone with them and they said that they would NOT replace it.

The new Z2 has been shipping for a while now, im sure someone will chime in who is sure, but the packaging may have just stayed the same.

BJ is correct. If you have purchased Z2 in the past month or so it IS Z2 Pro, no matter what the bottle said.

I have tested Z2-Pro for the last 7 months or so. It is everything that BradE stated. Also there is a Z5-like minor surface hiding ability to this new Z2-Pro (you will still need to meticulously prep and not depend on masking ability).

Z2 pro has been shipping under the old label for about 3 months. I got my first non-pre-production (normal Z2 packaging) formulation in September. Zaino changed the cap to white and the polish is a darker pink and slightly more viscous. There is a new wetness and richness appearance along with the optics of the old Zaino (reflectivity, clarity, gloss, etc). Durability is off the charts in terms of retaining that "just waxed" appearance wash after wash after wash. No doubt the best Z polish to date.

SpoiledMan, check your bottle cap and if you have some of the red cap Z2, compare the difference in pinkness and "feel" between the two bottles.

Hope this helps. :wavey

Darn, I just bought a bottle of Z-2 about 6 weeks ago. It will take me a couple of years to use it up.

Perhaps Z-2 Pro does dry better even without ZFX but I see that the product info still recommends the use of ZFX about the same as it did before - "Whenever you layer Z-2 PRO, you must activate it with ZFX" and "It is crtical that you use ZFX with Z-2 PRO for the initial application".

Edit:

I just saw the post about the change in bottle cap color, I will have to check this when I get home.

The Zaino system hasn't changed just one of the components.

Yes, you still need Z1 or ZFX for the initial layer and ZFX for multiple layers in a day.

Z2-Pro with ZFX has almost instant drying. 3 coats in the same time it would take to apply 3 coats of most products that require an initial "flash" drying before buffing (i.e. Klasse WOWO, NXT, WG, UPP, BFII, etc) . :xyxthumbs

OK, I have a bottle with the white cap. I feel better.

Great.

Sal went though a lot to make sure this new formulation was the best to date and that the conversion over to this formulation was customer friendly. :xyxthumbs

Wow, Z2 Pro better than Z2 ? I love the Z2 I have now, and it's the old old batch. It got me through a rough 6 month winter last year.

I've hard that the Zaino SMR is still in the works....:nixweiss

I'm skeptical since everything everybody has said will last 6 months has given me 3 months, tops, durability.

I may have to give this a shot, but it won't be because I think it will last for 6 months. I'd be happy with 2 months of how good he says it is. :nixweiss

I can't believe I missed it. I visited their site earlier today checking their leather conditioner and didn't even notice that Z-2 is no more.

On a side note I don't think this product will be received well by the Autopians:

"...Say good-bye to spending frequent weekends waxing and protecting your vehicle..."

Since I was already a satisfied Zaino user this looks like a winner in my eyes. :D
