i remember someone saying its good to put z1 again after about 5 coats of z2 and 5s. why is this so? and how important is it to do this? to me i feel like ill be blocking out some of the optical clarity from the coats below?

i remember reading an archive where DK or somebody said that Z1 can add extra shine to a car if u add some more Z1 after 4-5 coats of the Z2.....i dont think its necessary for bonding.....well...i think that if u are going to put say ...only 2 coats of Z2 on for the whole winter...than the 1 coat of Z1 should be OK....but if you are like me....and everyother Z user...:D and are going to have like 7-8 coats of Z on there..then i think the Z1 needs to be reapplied after 4-5 coats.....i havent experienced this extra shine from it yet.....but i know i read that somebody did.....i really cant imagine it being more shiny:) :D .....had to throw that in there at the end....sorry...

Maaaan, if you want a wet looking car, use an entire bottle of Meguiars Glaze. The whole bottle, might have to apply it 50 times but when your done it'll look like your car is dripping paint. :)

:D....LMAO>>...hey....you broke yosteve's rule about commenting on the original post...then expanding.....just like im doing now....wait.....use the Z1 again after 4-5...iot sgood....

Hey Fli!

You sound like a Zanio addict. I can see you now, sneaking in swigs of thier QD and smearing yourself in the sealent and running around the house blabbering all sorts of nonsense.

Hey man, don't feel bad, it happens to the best of us. Just use some Klasse and quit that madness with Zanio.

ZANIO STINKS KLASSE RUUUUULLLLLLLLEEEEEESSSSSSSSS

Thats the last thing we need, riots in the street about Klasse and Zanio.

"Hello, this is Maria Kramer from ABC news reporting live, this is one peaceful demost* OH CRAP, their throwing foam pads, WHOA, their goes a bottle of Zanio, it's crap anyhow, the zanio'rs are coming after me. Zanio claim's Klasse is good for nothing with thier sheeting action... I'm outta here, who knows what next, putting Klasse in the Zanio bottles!

:D hehehe.....i just fell off my zaino seat cushion.......and knocked over my zaino mousepad.........:p .........did i sound that bad.........sorry i need my meds.......one of my friends just tried Klasse......now hes switched from zaino..that traitor......he should be tried for war crimes!!!!!!!!!!!damn communists:bounce

hahahahah the mouse pad and cushion man. :-)

I can see some of these people now, they detail the front steps of thier house with Zanio, give thier kids Zanio soup when thier sick, use it to fix flats. Wash themselves in it and have nose swabs that are soaked in it so they can sniff it all night.

What I wonder is how many Polyemer products are out there that are as good or better that we don't know about.

Think of it, the only big names we know and commonly use/recommend are Klasse, Zanio, Meguairs, 3M and now BlackFire. I know were missing alot. I'm happy with Klasse though.

I have Klasse underwear, I wonder if Ef Hi Intensity cleaner can take out those marks I made after I layered Klasse Glaze 5 times on my car!

if u go by how much this site is taking off...growing,,,,,and how many people i know that love to take care of their cars.and how easy some of these products are to apply once you get it down..then i think there's a huge market for growth in the detail business....i mean lots of the products we use...are very simple to apply.once you know what the heck your doin.....and most people that dont know better today...........still think of 'waxing' their car as a 6 hr job......messy.etc....i think the market is going to explode in the next few years with better and better products...................at least i hope so

After a few coats using z1 again will increase bonding and tighten up the polish bed. People have also reported additional gloss, and on some color's I have noticed this as well. I always say on a dark car use z1 every 5-10 coats, and on a lighter car use Z1 every 3-5 coats. You should see a difference, and don't worry, you are not hurting the optics!

ps...always use Z6 just before applying new coat of polish.

I ordered tw 16 ounce bottles of klasse right. They didn't have the glaze in stock so I had to wait an extra 3 days. I asked CMA once what was going on and they said they would send me a free upgrade of Glaze to 33 ounce to make up for the loss. When I opened the box I have TWO 33 ounce bottles of AIO and Glaze instead of the 16 ounce sizes I bought.

That was a nice gift, too bad I'll be old and grey before I can se it all.

whgere did u get those little guys....you are the pissiest of all the pissers on this board..........now gimme my towels and leav me alone.with your anti-american klasse.with its foreign soundint name and all...and at a time of war no less:p

I followed DKs advice and applied Z1 after six coats of Z (as opposed to the maker's recommended 10 coats) - on black cherry paint. There was a noticible improvement in shine and clarity. More glass-like (which was hard to believe).

I'm sitting here in the garage waiting for my 0800 appointment and it's 0930! I've called her and left a message. Black 08 Expedition, interior detail and exterior wash and QD. I then have a black Lincoln MKZ at 1400 and at this time I'm pushing it.

Does anyone have any published or advertised late fee or no show fees? Late arrivals set me back sometimes and at the expense of the second customer who's considerate enough to be on time.

I give a client one chance. If and when they do show explain that if it happens again they will be charged a $100 fee. This fee must be paid before I will ever consider working for them again. You gotta be firm with this or it will be a continuing problem :sarge

This will either make this customer understand that you value your time or send them packing/to someone else. Either way, its a win win situation for you

Flash, I like that approach and you're right to nip it at the bud.

Well, like I said. I give them the first screw up, but at the same time I definately let them know I am disappointed in them wasting my time. Usually, they just keep there piehole shut or apologize profusely while I go on my rant. If it happens again, the $100 no show fee goes into effect. No excuses Da Rules!

Thanks Flash. She called me at 0940 and said she's running late and would be here at about 10. I amicably but firmly explained my possible scheduling conflict now because of her tardiness. She was, as you say, profusely apologetic! She offered to pay me the same amount but "just to do the interior today".

When she arrived we "discussed" my new "policy"! It was somewhat tough because she's been a customer for about 6 years and does the usual interior detail with me about every 3 to 4 months and it's a trashed kid hauler every time it comes in. She wants the full monty about once annually (exterior and interior) and she always gives me a little "extra" every single time I work on her car.

She's somewhat unique also because I also do her husband's car but she's the one who notices swirls (from tunnel washes) and crud buildup in the jambs! Her husband on the other hand is the type who considers his ride "just a car"and doesn't notice even deep scratches on his!
