Another Jar of Souveran or Something Else?

Well, looks like I'll be ordering some VWC.... :woot2: ; you guys are really starting to burn a hole into my wallet! If I find some time, I'll do another addon to your review calgary with a few pics; Probably sometime next week since I just received some Jeffs AJ to try out.

Thanks for the info on this--they could really use a make over on their website and a lot more marketing; I'm feeling as though I'm buying a product that will be discountinued in a week for some reason... :/ (Given by the popularity, the website, dealers, news in detailing events)

Cheers,

im glad to see that your orering the products im sure you will love them. With you order of wax buy yourelf some of the lite cleanse (it helps the wax bond) as well as get the super soap. I love the stuff. Most amazing soap i have ever tried give it a shot. You will not be disapointed :spot

calgarydetail,

you got me very curious about this VW too. I did some readup on this forum as well on my other Detailcity forum. Great reviews. I will be aquiring some in a months time (souveran almost done). Quick question on application: can we replace the lite cleanse with a sealant first? I ask this because I want to apply a sealant for durability as a base (EX, EX-P, AIO, Prime for example). Or can I apply lite cleanse over the sealant (I am hesitant because the cleanse may remove the sealant, right?)? What is the durability of the lite cleanse ? Have you tried all three waxes, and any quick reviews of their differences? Thanks again :cooleek:

thnkx. I havent tried a sealent as the base coat. I will have to try it on one of my cars. When you buy the lite cleanse it comes with a sheet saying there is a smalla mount of carnumba in the lite cleasne to help with bonding of the high carnumba of the wax. I think a sealent would work. I also think it depends on the sealent, it would be liek any other wax some bond and some dont. Ill try to get on it here in the next couple days if i can. Its worth a shot.

Derf your samples went out today.

I sent you about half a jar of s100. A full jar of Megs #26 a 3/4 full bottle of Megs NXT and a 2oz sample of Jeff Werkstatt's AJ.

Let me know how you like them.

Would you like a sample of Poorboys EX-P, Klass AIO and Jeff Werkstatts Acrylic Jett? If you do send me your mailing address via PM and I will gladly send you out samples of each.

Was going to ask you on a different thread but what do you think of AJ personally? I just got mine (JW is a bit amazing, ordered and received in one day) and will be trying it out later this week. It'll be my first sealant so I have to get the application process down but I was hesistant between AJ, SG, EX-P, or the Zaino World :/; On any of those sealants, I'll probably be topping them with either Natty's Blue or S100.

:thx Cheers,

Honestly I really do not think that much of it anymore. I feel that it as difficult at times as Klasse SG to remove. I have tried darn near everything and I always end up back at Zaino for looks, durability and ease of use.

Now JW Prime Strong, I absolutely love. It is the first product since I found Zaino in 2001 that I was truly "giddy" about. IMO and this is not based on anything other than the fact that Carlack, Klasse and JW's are all associated and my suspiciousness is that JW's Prime is a pre-VOC Klasse AIO and JWs AJ is a slightly modified version of Klasse SG. Again, this is nothing scientific just my own thoughts based on comparisons that I have done.

If AJ was easier to remove I would love to use it more. I have it one the wife’s car and it does look good its just that I dont find that I reach for it much anymore when I can throw on Zaino let it cure without ZFX (after the initial coats obviously) and remove in 20-30 bumper to bumper.

I will say that I have talked to Jeff personally and his CS is above average and I would order prime from him again and will eventually try carnauba jett.

Top with s100 if you are wanting a crisp reflective surface, blue if you want a wet pool look. :hifive:

Thanks! I guess I'll have to plunge into Z2 sometime soon :) from your experiences. Thanks for posting the information on your personal thoughts between Carlack, JW, and Klasse since I have heard similar thoughts floating around. Also a bit sad after reading your Z2 Pro versus non experience but guess that's life :cool

Well I think that Zaino was getting a little negative press for the wrapped in plastic look from some hence the move to a warmer look in Z2Pro. Nothing that we can do about it as Z2 is out of production.

Z2Pro is still a very quality product, I just happen to like the crisper look on the dark silver almost gray vehicle that I have. If you do make the plunge pick up ZFX, Z2, Z6 and Z8.

Z8 is amazing. I dont believe that you need to use their carwash soap, I use CGs Maxi Suds through the foam gun to minimize any potential marring and love how it works with Zaino.

Some say that the system is too expensive and such but the way I look at it is even if I spend $150 a year on products from them isn’t that worth it on any vehicle vs. the cost of repainting and such? I’m total OCD and use Z8 almost everyday and a bottle last me 1.5 - 2 months at $20 so what, it’s my stress release. I dont know many other things that reduce stress for less than $10 a month and enhance and protect something that I take pride in.

RE #26 being hard to remove . . . . are you guys sure you aren't applying too much? I use it in paste form, and haven't found removal to be an issue unless I apply way too much. Typically I let the wax dry 10-20 minutes, and then easily buff it off with an MF.

I apply it no different than any other wax I use (thin coats). I find it to be one of the most difficult carnaubas to remove in my opinion. I may try the wipe on wipe off method because following the directions on the jar does not seem to work.
