I work at an auto parts store, so I deal with people coming in all the time asking about products. Well this guy comes in and he buys some tire shine or something and tells me he does detailing. I let him know I detail on the side as well. This guy works for a car wash detailing as well.
I ask him what he uses, he says he uses a wheel. I ask him what kind of buffer he doesnt know the name. He then goes on to tell me that he doesnt even use it because modern cars today dont come with enough clearcoat to even buff. Then he goes on to tell me that he usually gets brand new cars to detail. I was like yea well in that case all you gotta do is just wax it. He was like yea well I dont even bother waxing because none of the carnauba waxes last more than a few days. I quote him saying "All I do is use a spray detailer, dilute it with water and go over the car. Theres really no use using a wax with modern car technology." Keep in mind, hes charging these people $200 for a full "professional detail". At this point I am :wall thinking of how badly this guy is screwing these people out of their money.
