American Idol

Sheila@detailcity

My husband is always right!
Any AI fans out there? Here are my predictions for the bottom three tonight (for whatever it's worth):

Carly
Brooke
Shyesha

What's yours?

I think the show would be better if they kicked off that Ryan Seagull guy. He just keeps coming back and he's annoying as a migraine. :D

Sheila, I can't argue much with your list except to say that based on previous weeks that little Kristy Lee Cook (I'll admit I had to look up that name) can't seem to avoid that bottom three.

JaredP, he doesn't bother me that much. I wish I could figure out how he got his start. Either he or his agent have a great feel for marketing.

Your boy Ryan Seacrest makes 12 million a year.
David Archuletta is going to win.:passout:

I doubt it. He's probably got the best voice, most talented and consistent. However, he lacks the charisma and star power. He's like 16 or 17, but you'd think he was 12.

No, I think David A's going to win too. All the 12, 13, 14 yr old girls are liking him.

And I predict Kristy, Brook, and Syesha in the bottom 3 tonight and Kristy goes home. Wait, check that. It appears this has already happened! ;)

Not without her makeup. I seen her on tv once with no make up and she doesn't look anything like last night but the girl can sing.:passout:

:bigups.Good point but I am/was trying to be respectful to the ladies on here.:passout:

For once I was in complete accord with the bottom two last night. Either one going home was the right decision.

I'm normally pretty much in line with Randy's comments, but this week he was completely off regarding Carly's performance. He specifically mentioned her handling of the chorus. She was off-key on the chorus and basically just shouted it out. I was surprised that neither Randy or Simon mentioned it.

David Cook's peformance pretty much solidified in my mind that he is the one to beat. David A. is good, but not yet in the same class. Give him several more years to mature and check-in again.

I don't care for David Cook all that much not a lot of depth in his delivery..he is good and is marketable but not my choice...I do think that David A is one to watch he maybe young but at his age is clearly heads above the others...even if he doesn't win, he has launched a career on this show.

Syesha is coming up pretty strong and I was shocked that she was in the bottom two...I predict that the blond that started and then restarted her song will be the next to go...she is hanging on by a thread IMO

The last two standing in this show are going to be the two Davids they have the most popular votes and fan base

Are you just rooting for them because their name is the same as yours???:D

Brook and Carly should have been bottom two I think, and Brook should have gone home.

David Cook is the most talented in my book.

Last week proved that most talented isn't as important as most popular. Jason and Brook did horrible and stayed out of the bottom 2 where Syesha was the best of the night and was in bottom 2.

I agree it will be the 2 Davids and I'm rooting for David Cook.

I was surprised Brooke wasn't in the bottom two(although I like her the best out of the girls). I thought Shyesa did wonderfully Tuesday night.

I really like David Cook. I think he is the most qualified to win. Jason is a mimbo, but a cutie.:D

Should've been Jason and Brooke in the bottom two last night, but neither one of them was there. I don't vote on it, so it doesn't really matter what I think.

Sheila, have you given up on this? :)

Do you think the judges are pushing a result more this year than years previous?

I thought that excluding David Cooks' 2 performances, Tuesday night was one of the worst for the finalists.

Lots of heaping praise on David A. "Crushed" the competition? Not based on the performances of the night. Stand By Me merited a "karoake/cruise ship performance" comment from Simon. And his Love Me Tender should have ranked in the bottom three performances of the season. His facial reactions are beginning to appear less genuine and more scripted.

Simon was correct again on Seyesha's Proud Mary. It was a pitiful attempt at a Tina Turner performance. Yes, she shrieks. I've said it all season, she "oversings" her natural vocal range. Randy almost had it right on her attempt at A Change is Gonna Come. The arrangement was poor, but he left out that her vocals didn't even come close to carrying off this song. She should have been gone 3 weeks ago and her presence makes for a weak top three. Remember Kimberly Locke? That girl can sing.

Jason Castro...well what can you say? His absence will certainly diminish the "fun" aspect of the show.

As Simon said (I hate agreeing with him :D) several weeks back, if the show's results are based on singing ability and doesn't turn into a popularity contest, David Cook will be the next American Idol.
