AG now has Menzerna polishes

You guys will like the po83. I will put up a post for hints, tips and tricks. It can be finicky sometimes, but does an amazing job at correction.

Ryan,

Can you break down the 'new' Menzerna polish products (label names) in terms of:

Cut: 1 - 5 (5 being heavy cut)

Gloss 1 -5 (5 being the highest menzerna gloss)

Pads (ideal pad choices for each product)

Thanks :2thumbs:

I guess I'm 'old school': PG, IP, FPII, FP, P0106FF, P085RD is what I have and use.

Menzerna produces a FANTASTIC line of polishes. Top shelf!

The other 're-branded' Menzerna products are run-of-the-mill. Too bad they had to tarnish their great name with QD, Wash, Wheel Cleaner, Sealer, etc...

They are a polish company, and a VERY good one.

So let me get this right?

Powergloss = 3.02 right? Used for heavy cutting?

Superintensive Polish PO83Q= nothing before

Intensive Polish PO91E = IP ?

Micropolish PO87MC= ???????

Nanopolish 106= 106ff???

Final Polish PO85U= FPII?????

I am familar with the common Menzerna polishes, IP and FPII. Is PO91E the same exact thing as the common IP? Is PO85U the same thing as FPII. If not, where would FPII fit in this equation?

I was surprised at how well SIP finished on my Integra with the rotary. It should work really nice by Cyclo. It has a long work time and very little dust.

SIP is po85rd3.01 which menzerna usa is now calling po83 so there is no confusion with all the po85's. Amazing they would finally do that:hmph: I know the numbers pretty good now on the pro polishes

3.02 is a whole new polish which is the upgraded version of 3.01

The 3.01 is no slouch and will impress you if used on the rotory with a polish pad

powergloss is po34

So just how much correction can I do on non-ceramic clear with 106FF and a polishing pad (LC green or white)? Is it a little bit pad dependent?

106ff to my best testing is more of a finish polish and used on a rotory with a polish pad.

by pc a cutting pad is ok if needed.

106 is not as strong as most would think, but does correction on soft paint.

s34a - cut 5/5 gloss 1.5/5

po83q - cut 3.5/5 gloss 3/5 po85rd3.01

po85u - cut 3/5 gloss 4/5

po106 - cut 2.5/5 gloss 5/5 po106ff

po91e - intensive polish

po87mc - final polish II

This is to my product usage on my actual numbers and been using menzerna for a little over a year now. Menzerna has there own charts on these, but this is what I have come up with for my own numbers by rotory usage.

SIP po83 (aka 3.01) Cut 3.0/5 on polish pad 3.5/5 on a cut pad Gloss 3.5/5 or maybe a 4 if worked in enough with only a polish pad. Wool pad to my testing is really not needed with this polish. You will be very shocked at how it works.

PO83 deeply cleans and removes scratches, swirls and brings out that deep bottom end glow with ease which is very hard to do with any polish on foam. I am very impressed still. This polish actually mimmicks the action of wool on a foam pad. It's really genious and I know why it is so popular in the UK.

The #'s they rate them at is just the manufacture grades and are only guigelines. I could use it on a black vette and then it would be a cut of 1. I could also do a honda and it will feel like the cut is 5.

Like I said before, on the rotory it does have it's quirks and does not like sun or dampness. It was designed for climate controled shops for the best usage and performance.

On pc it will not matter as much and should work great, but I would still keep out of the sun.

If I had IP and a wool pad and some 106 and a white or green pad I could probably correct most any car on the planet.:)

Sure. I polished an E55 AMG 7 years old last week with this combo and I get amazing results.

Both have a long working time. Sometimes I prefer polishes with less working time, wich get the results easy, but the finish is not the same...

Are we sure that this Micro Polish PO 87MC is the FPII. Could it be a new U.S. market name for the PO 85RD (1.5/5 cut 5/5 gloss)? Based on the price on AG it does not look like it is a scratch-resistant clear coat polish. The PO83Q and PO106FF are $50 and this PO87MC is $30. I can't find PO87MC info on any Menzerna websites
