Hi all! Did a couple of F430's this week so I thought I'd share! The first was a new one and actually the last new F430 that I'll probably detail
. Although there were quite a few RDS they only wanted me to do a 1-stage so I went with S17 and a finishing pad using the method I described in this thread. No befores on this one, but as I've said there were some RDS and a few holograms that needed to be dealt with... the new owner is a retired woman
! I tried to rush back from lunch to ask her if she needed a new cabana-boy, but she'd already sped off to bingo night by the time I got there... Here's the afters, just before delivery protected with InstaFinish Premium Wax:
This next one is a 2-year old that's got about 13,000k on the clock. The owner doesn't drive it much so I informed him about my complimentary "car walking" service where I take the car out for a stretch, fresh air, to play with other cars, release any excrement, etc. For some reason I don't think he took me seriously
. I didn't see any factory installed hollies, but I'm sure they were there... I could feel them... It did however have a lot of scratches all over it... way to many to go into "seek and destroy" mode by hunting down each and every one individually so we (Flexcalibur and I... we make joint decisions you know) decided to Rambo the entire car with InstaFinish #2 (YEAH!! My order finally arrived yesterday!!)
and a wool pad followed by InstaFinish #2 and a polishing pad using the above mentioned method. I gave this little pony a hand job lubed with V1ntage... I don't know if it was just the bloody hot weather, humidity or because the stars weren't aligned properly, but it was a PITA to remove! I think that's the last hand job I give with V1ntage... Anyhoo, the owner was happy and I'll be going back next week to do his blue Quattroporte
! Here's da goods (it was mission impossible trying to pick up the scratches in this light and on this color, but believe me there were plenty of them
):
A big scuff on the front wing just above the bumper.
Had to do a little wet-sanding in a couple of places with 2000 grit.
The inside was also vacuumed and leather was dressed with InstaFinish Leather Conditioner... also I left my signature box of Tic Tacs
. I think this was probably about a %98 correction, which took almost 15 hours.
