A 330i For A Fellow Member...Thoughts on UDM and 3.01

Jim, you still need to send me your address man. You still want the IP??

Scott thanks and you're welcome.;)

Paul I'm still using my "trusty" Hitachi.

AZ, you can see the tip of the steam in this picture. It's kind of pencil like. I give it a good blast and the wipe clean with a MF. Costco towels have to be good for something right?? :D

Great job and that thing was beat, but that thing is back to better than new! Great job and write up!

Tell me about that high tech sponge that you used instead of claying. Where did you get it? I need one bad!

Denzil, thanks.:) The body shop for some reason left a good amount of OP in that area and I could see from the start that it was going to take away from the finished product.

Thanks Ryan. I picked it up at Auto Detailing Solutions. I did a little bit of a SS white car today with it. The car has a good amount of oxidation on it and it made short work of it with NO clogging and it wont be ruined when I'm done with the car.

Well file this under you don't know how bad something has gotten till you take a step back from it.

Chris did an unbelievable job bringing my car back to life. He did literally work 8 to 8 on my car. I would recommend his services whole heartedly to anyone in Los Angeles area.

He has also given me some tips on how to maintain my car so it doesn't in such bad shape. :nomore:

Honestly I had no clue what to do and what not to do. Now I know just enough to be dangerous :buffing:

On a the other hand, My wife was very happy with the picture of her sandwich she made. Then she says eeeewww what is that gunk that was on your car??? I say wait till he does your 3 year old black SUV and before/after pics of that go up.

Seriously my car looks so good I don't want to drive it. I wanted to wrap my pug in shrink wrap before we went to work this morning.

Thanks again Chris :thx

Craig

Craig, it was *my* pleasure and thank you for the nice words! You guys treated me so well that I was trying to stay for dinner.:D Tell your wife that the sandwich was just as good as it looked too!

I look forward to getting the Lexus looking right again and I think your wife will be in for a shock when she see those pictures.;)

Chris,

From some searching I've done here about the cyclo, I ran across some posts from you. Do you have a cyclo, and if so, can you say how the UDM stacks up against it?

Tom,

My plan is to but the machines through the paces at the same time so I'm not going from memory. Once again, my own car is in need so I have a local test bed to work with.:D I want to try to do this without even thinking of the strong and weak points of each machine. Fair enough?

Chris, absolutely. I only ask because I'm thinking of picking up a cyclo.

I did a search on "UDM" and ran across this gem.

How did I miss this click-and-brag ?!?

That's one he** of a detail Chris! Fantastic work & write up.

Have you had any more seat time with the UDM? Any additional thoughts?

Again great detail. Wow:bow :bow
