(removed #9 because of nxt cleaning)

as Anthony O mentions in another thread.

then:

#83+#82+nxt= removed #82?? since #82 is like that of #9:confused:

thanks

I'm no expert so using something like #83 I have to follow with something less aggressive like #9.I tend to get some hazing in spots that need to be addressed before using something like NXT on top. Some on here who know way more than I may not need to follow with #9 or #82 when using #83 and can go right to a LSP(last step product).

NXT doesnt really remove hardly anything. We had a gigantic discussion on it in the MEg's forum i think, and it has some slight cleaning capability, by removes almost nothing that is under it. Therefore, even if you do have #82 or #83 or #9 under the NXT, it shouldnt remove enough to make a noticible difference.

I dont really think anybody understands exactly what you are asking though. Hope this helps.

Just go #82/NXT. You don't need another very similar polishing step if you work #82 properly. If you want an finer polish before applying NXT, go with #81 Hand Polish.

Or from what we saw yesterday, work the 83 well and then NXT. :bounce

Quote from anthony O from another thread (I didnt want to hijack it)

"If you used DACP, then #9 and then again Scratch X you then removed the #9.

Also since it is said that NXT has cleaning properties in it it also would remove the #9.

The #9 is mainly going to fill or hide light scratches/swirls or marring but not really remove them."

My question above was, if nxt has cleaning properties and removes #9.. will it also remove #82?

thanks

NXT may remove some of the polishing oils left by #9 but it won't remove the deeper polishing properties of #9.
