Last fall I bought a jug of #21 to try as my winter sealant. I did a light polishing with SSR1 and then topped the surface off with a coat of sealant. This Odyssey Van is my daily driver and it sits out 24/7. I did this winter prep just before Halloween in the event some little devil decided to have fun at my expense.
Since that time the vehicle has been driven daily, subjected to a trip to Florida (over 3000 miles return), tons of salt, plus frequent wand type washes and numerous touchless tunnel washes.
It has not been QD'd nor has there been any other spray wax applied.
We have had a good long shot of snow and sloppy roads this spring and finally today it was warm enough to get out the hose and give it a good wash. I was quite amazed and very pleased as to how the #21 was standing up and how even after 5 hard months it still beaded water and was quite smooth to the touch. The attached pics will show the vehicle after a wash with Megs 00 car wash and the tires dressed. I have not used a QD or anything else other than the wash and waffleweave.
