Well, add me to the list of people who are favorably impressed with FK425.
Spilchy was kind enough to send me a sample (thanks again!) and I tried it out on a few panels of the MPV the other day. I did the hood, rear hatch, and both bumper covers with FK 425, I did the rest of the MPV with KSG after a light claying with Sonus green.
Yeah it really *is* slick! Slicker than the adjacent panels that I put a fresh coat of KSG on and by a wide margin. I'll compare it with 4* UGE next time I do the S8 but I expect the FK 425 to be superior.
Didn't notice any appearance difference, but a) the Mazda silver with a sealant generally looks OK or *not* OK and the MPV is looking OK these days and b) I wasn't really *looking* for a difference as in making a concentrated effort to detect one. It's not like I saw a sudden difference between the hood (FK 425) and the front fenders (KSG) but I never expected to.
One weird thing I noticed was that rather than repelling dust/etc. it seemed to *attract* it on the rear bumper cover

The adjacent quarter panels (metal), just treated with KSG, didn't have any pronounced attraction. But the plastic bumper cover had a *lot* of soil-type dust on it when I got back from an outing with the dogs. I did *not* notice this on the front bumper cover (plastic) or the hood (metal). Weird; I'll be keeping an eye on this. If I had to take a guess, I'd say that I wasn't careful enough buffing the bumper cover after applying the FK 425. Perhaps it just goes to show that this stuff isn't utterly idiot-proof (heh heh, leave it to me to discover this

) and one shouldn't be too careless about buffing FK 425.
I'm sorta looking forward to the next batch of bad weather; I'll keep an eye out for differences between the FK 425 panels and the KSG ones.
I *will* be ordering the FK 425.
