porta said:Nice, must get some 50077. I want a compound with long working time, like PO85RD3.02. I like PG but it would be nice to have some more lubrication.
maesal said:You could wait for my comments about Presta Ultra Cutting Crème, Ultra Cutting Crème Light and Chroma 1500... The second it an incredible polish as I read, I think it will be like a RD3.01 with the same level of gloss but with more cut. And the Chroma 1500 is like a 106FF, with and incredible gloss.
I hope to receive Presta this week. I'll tell you something.
Regards. :bigups
porta said:Mario, any news on the presta front?
The Woob: I second that. I have been using PO106FF with a cutting pad and I took out some pretty bad damages with that combo. It was like a compound.
Bence said:Mario, what speed range were you using for the 50077? And yes, those little bottles are perfect.
Porta, do you have experience with the 106FA? I'll receive a bottle soon and I'm really curious. My experience with my 85RE5 is a somewhat limited but it was a bit unfriendly, tacky. Of course it could be the temperatures, but it wasn't the super nicely lubricated thingy.
porta said:Bence: I haven´t used the 106FA yet, will try it tomorrow on a black BMW X3.
I love the RE5, but it´s very kranky if the temperature is low. The lubrication will be very bad and the pad will skip and jump on the paint beacuse of the friction. PO85RD3.02 have the same problem.
How cold was it when you polished? I never polish under 15celcius(IE always inside, even during the summer)If it´s warm, no problemo.
If it´s cold, store the bottles on the below a radiator or etc.
And something off topic: I was talking to a rep from Mirka today and he´s going to send me some samples of their new polish line. Will get them next week.

Deanski said:From some of the other shops that use 3M, they seem to really like the new "Ultrafina" polish and pads (matching) that removes, not fills swirls after using 3M SMR type product, this new UltraFina does a much better job.
I'll be seeing it in action soon as one of the 3M reps will be at one of the shops I deal with.
BTW, there is also video on this newer polish on 3M's website. Here you go:

maesal said:I suppose that this polish is the same as 50383. In Spain we have 3M Perfect-It III, not the 3000 Series, so I think they're the same polishes.
Regards !!
Deanski said:Looks like it too.
The only thing with this new polish, you do not polish until dry. It has to leave a thin oil film which you can wash off. It's body-shop safe as well.
