New Car Prep for the owner of this beautiful volvo. I really have to give it up to volvo for doing a great job on this car. I wish it was around when I was looking to buy a car.
For those that care, owner just got a bunch of mods such as coil overs, chip, exhaust, intake, 3" down pipe. It has a nice deep sound not ricey at all. Car really just needed a good clay and some light polishing.
Process
Wheels/Tires/Wells
Meguiars APC+ diluted 4:1
P21S Wheel Gel
Exterior
P21S Total Auto Wash
Foam Cannon /w Prima Mystique Car Soap diluted 6:1
2 Bucket Wash /w Prima Mystique Car Soap, genuine lambswool wash mitt and grit guard
Dryed with Waffle Weave Microfiber Towels
Chemical Guys clay /w ONR QD strength
Debadging Process
Hair Dryer
Plastic scraper
Goo Gone
Polish out remaining residue with PC & 4" Orange LC Pad with Prima Swirl
Paint Correction
Makita 9227c @ 1200 on Lake Country White pad and Prima Finish fine polish
PC used with same pad/polish as well
LSP
2 coats of Zaino Z2 Pro with ZFX accelerator
Z-8 Grand Finale - Final Wipedown
Rinsing the car down
Prima Mystique car soap in squeeze bottle that measures out exactly 1 oz so I know how much soap I'm using and P21S Total Auto Wash used as pre-wash degreaser for lower panels and bugs/tar.
Foam Cannon.
After the car is covered, I let it dwell for 5 minutes before rinsing off.
3 buckets. 1 is for wheels & tires. 1 is soap water & the other is rinse water.
Notice anything different. Where'd the badging go?
2 things i've noticed about debadging. 1. The hotter it is, the easier it comes off. Just don't burn yourself. I almost did when picking up the letters/numbers. 2. The newer the car, the easier the adhesive comes off. I tried to help my friend debadge his 2003 lancer and it wasn't very easy.
Taped up and ready for polish
Prima Finish - A fine polish used for light polishing.
Received my 1st order from Zaino recently and decided to try it out.
Now onto the after shots
Be careful when you see this on the streets. That little sticker means he's pushing close to 300 hp.
"What kind of car is that? I don't see any badging...is it a ferrari?...but wait that's not a horse...its a moose?!"
