your spit-shine technique sounds very promising...and VERY time consuming. just the time i used to spend on my jump-boots for my Class A uniform was crazy. I can't imagine doing all that paint. would something like a PC with a finishing/no-cut pad work? or do u really find nothing gives better results than a nice mf?
thanx for the info and those pre-lsp shots were lovely - beautiful body lines and you captured them all. if only the computer screen did justice to the work you and other top-notch guys did...

So do you apply the wax, and then let it cure overnight (i.e. do not buff it off) and then the next morning spit shine? The results are extraordinary!

I'm surprised you found the clear to be so hard I've done a 599 and did not find it to be hard at all??
Also you could save a ton of time by working in the waxes with an orbital instead of by hand. Work smarter not harder and you'll also get better results as it will go on thinner, more evenly as well as no build up in cracks and such.:xyxthumbs
Again nice work, the car really turned out great. Don't mean to sound critical, just not sure if you've considered other options like that.

Apollo_Auto said:Thanks Josh! I have an orbital but you can't apply Swissvax with it. Besides, for this technique I seriously doubt a bulky orbital would give me the same results as doing it by hand. I may try doing it with the Makita and a finishing pad next time, but from experience, spit shining only works when you do it by hand.
