Car was bought in early May of this year so it was a little over 3 months old. From my past experience with this G37 in black, I knew to expect some swirling but wow, I must say that this has been the most swirled up car I have worked on and it was only 3 months old.
Apparently it was taken to another detailer when it was first bought and apparently did not do a good job. I figured it was clayed but it was full of bonded contaminants. So on with the process:
Wheels, Wheel Wells, Tires
Pressure Wash rinse
Meguiars APC+ on wells and tires
P21s Gel Wheel Cleaner on wheels
Tire Brush
Wheel Brush
Wash & Dry
Pressure Wash Pre-Rinse
Foam Cannon Pre-Wash

2 Bucket Method /w Grit Guard and Genuine Lambswool Mitts
Sheet water with hose - makes drying easier as there is less water on the car afterwards
Microfiber Waffle Weave Towels
Clay
Chemical Guys Gray Clay
Optimum No Rinse QD strength
Foam cannoned the car again to remove leftover contaminants

Getting the foaming trigger for the APC really does help its cleaning power. Notice the brown tire gunk coming off.
Rinsing off with pressure washer
Can't forget the wheel wells. Wells were sprayed with APC first and left to dwell for 5 minutes.
Foam Cannon Pre-wash
After Claying half of the trunk lid
After Claying quarter of the hood
Now let's see what she looks like after everything has been stripped off.
Swirls, Buffer Trails, water spots...you name it...its on there
Front Fender
Trunk Lid
Rear Quarter Panel
Remember, this is only 3 months old....One of my fav shots to show how bad the condition was....:eek3:
Car is prepped for polishing. I raised the hood to allow better access to the edges without fear of burning the paint on the fenders
I proceeded to tape off the emblem and lettering after the photo was taken.
Ok now onto the 50/50s...
